I'm looking to buy my parents a digital camera. They are not technologically savvy, so I'm looking for one which is very easy to use but still able to produce good photos. Any suggestions most welcome.

I have a HP photosmart S20 xi film scanner, its sat unused for about 2 years now. I am trying to use it again and it seems to have a small problem. When I insert a slide or print, it does the initial pull in of the image, then the pause, but now it wont finish pulling in the image

I often alter the format of landscape photos to a letterbox shape by using copy and paste in Photoshop. However, when I do this, all the EXIF data is lost. Is there a method of transferring it to the new image.
