Canon A9516 Oct 2005 19:49 GMT22
A couple of questions?
Has this model been discontinued?  If so, what replaced it?
My wife damaged her A75 and Canon wants approx $120 to fix it!  Canon offers a
refurbished A95 for $150.
Store GPS Location Data into JPEG File16 Oct 2005 19:42 GMT5
I spent some coffee break time to write this free utility.  Now you
don't need those expensive cameras like Nikon D2X to get the GPS into
pictures.  Visit http://www.vipros.com/photo/gps2Photo to download.
Also please leave a feedback at its support forum.

UV protectors on lenses16 Oct 2005 18:40 GMT73
I have got a UV protector on all my lenses to protect the lens surface
from scratches/dust/etc.  Is it a best practice to remove the UV
protector while taking a photo?  I think I am noticing that the photo
quality is considerably less with the protector (even though there are
Aiptech 5100m...memory card...16 Oct 2005 17:59 GMT1
I just purchased an Aiptech 5100m.  Now, before you
rag on me, I realize it is considered a 'toy' camera,
but it suits my needs ( carry case, 2 straps, tripod, s'ware
included).

Purchase16 Oct 2005 14:39 GMT1
I made an impulse purchase, my first digicam, a Sony dsc w5. I still
shoot my complete Canon A1 outfit with fine grain, but now after the
purchase Im reading reviews of "good" photos, not great as I read with
other cameras. I want small, pocketable and like sonys features and am

olympus sp-500 vs fujifilm s 520016 Oct 2005 05:52 GMT1
I am considering to buy my first digital camera. I narrowed my selection to
those two in subject. Similar price, similar lenses etc. What are the pros
and cons of each one. I know I can read them at any dc review site, but just
to strictly compare these two models.
Image properties required for 18x12 print16 Oct 2005 00:46 GMT7
I have an image which I would like to try printing on 18" x 12" inch paper
(46 x 30cm approx).
Current image is sized 3472 x 2312 pixels and gives 12" x 6" at 300dpi - I
realise this won't give 18"x12" so let's just consider the longest edge <g>.
Canon A-610 macro - help!15 Oct 2005 21:19 GMT2
Just bought a Canon A610 tonight and am fooling around. Trying out the
macro mode but am having a heck of a time. Doesn't seem to want to
focus properly when I move the camera closer to the object, or use the
zoom function to zoom in. Object remains very much out of focus.
Could someone recommend a camera please (with good macro)15 Oct 2005 20:03 GMT5
I use a nikon coolpix 3100 to take pictures of my pocket watches to post on
the internet but I am considering purchasing a new camera.
First question is, do I need a new camera? Will I notice any difference?
I have had it for a few years, is it out of date?
