Nikon D70 in extreme weather17 Oct 2005 08:10 GMT9

Any experience out there in colder conditions?
I'm climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in Sept, and expect it to be around zero F
50mmf1.8 w/ extension tubes17 Oct 2005 07:31 GMT1
Has anyone used the canon 50mm f1.8 with extension tubes?  The lens is
pretty sharp wondering how good of macro quality I would get as compared to
close-up filters.
Real Old Lenses17 Oct 2005 07:24 GMT4
Are there 'adapters' so that a pre Canon Eos film camera lens (the bayonet
type mount) can be used with the new Canon Rebel? If so where might I find
one. I realize that auto focusing would not be available. Thank you

Adobe DNG Converter 3.217 Oct 2005 06:54 GMT2
Is anyone using the 3.2 version of DNG and a Nikon D50?  On the opening
page at choose folder it won't highlight any of the NEF files taken
with a D50.  Version says 3.2 and adobe's page claims the D50 is
supported.  Any experience?

I have xD card with a lot of pictures which I really want to get off

either power the camera off or format the card, which I don't want to
do cause I would loose all the pictures. I guess the card got corrupted

Does anyone konw of a free (or very cheap) utility that will allow DNG files
to be viewed as thumbnails in Win XP?
I'm looking for soething like DP Magic, which allows RAW files from a number
of manufacturers to be viewed as thumbs - but it doesn't support DNG files.

lengths/cameras?

If I buy colored gel filters to put on my strobe (flash) lighting that
illuminates my white background, will I be able to get colored
backgrounds? And I would need to buy two sets of the gel filters, one for
each of two lights that illuminate the background, correct?  I tried

I'm in the market for a new printer. I've had enough of the print head
clogging problems with my Epson CX4600 and after looking through various
reviews it appears this is a common problem with all Epson ink jets
printers not just this model. I have to run the head cleaning ...
