my ISO setting has been set at 200.
The cameras range is 125,200,400 and 800

Nikon....wake up!24 Oct 2005 00:12 GMT101
Just learnt from happy Canon users that the 5D is available in reasonable
quantities. In Palo Alto, I can even rent one for $200 a day (with a fast
zoom lens). But I think, it's not a good investment to rent a 5D until Nikon
comes out with something competitive ;-)
Kodak blows it24 Oct 2005 00:05 GMT56
Have you checked out their new P880 and P850? See:
http://www.steves-digicams.com/pr/kodak_08022005_p880-p850_pr.html
It looks like they saw what Nikon did with their 8800 and 8400 and followed
in their footsteps. The wide angle model, with a better zoom range than the

EOS 300D/Rebel vanishing functions23 Oct 2005 21:07 GMT9
It all started when I noticed that the ISO and White Balance settings
were inaccesable. The manual says they should only be accessable when
you're using a creative mode (eg P, Av, Tv, M). The buttons seem to do
nothing even when in this mode.
Sigma 50mm Macro on EOS300D...?23 Oct 2005 20:49 GMT6
I've been thinking about getting a Sigma 50mm Macro for use on my 300D.
I've seen a lot of postings about 'Error 99' when using Sigma lenses on
the 300D. Is this lens a safe bet or am I looking for trouble?
Canon 350D slave flash23 Oct 2005 17:25 GMT5
Does anyone know if you can trigger a slave flash with the Canon 350D . I
mean using its built in flash.
I have done this with a powershot A80 and I am assuming you can adjust the
flash power manually on the

borderless printing23 Oct 2005 16:25 GMT3
I have been printing borderless 8.5x11 photos on an Epson 820 for a few
years now.  I have noticed that the printer (or the driver) automatically
crops my photo before printing it.  I have precropped the image in advance
to have the exact aspect ratio of 8.5x11.  Nevertheless, ...

portrait settings23 Oct 2005 10:47 GMT4
I am using a panasonic dmc fz20 camera. The manuel says for the portrait
setting to open the optical zoom full. Focus on a distant setting to blur
the background. Then stand close to your subject. At 12 optical zoom there
is no way you can stand close to the subject. Called panasonic ...
pixmatic & bit depth23 Oct 2005 10:24 GMT2
i'm managing a friend's photo collection; he shoots with a Nikon D2X, using
the proprietary nikon NEF format.
I've been using Pixmatic Rawshooter (which is a great app, btw..!!) to
decode the NEF's.
