I use a Canon Powershot G5 with a Canon 550EX Speedlite mounted in the hotshoe. If set the camera to P, Av or Tv mode, the E-TTL logic controls the output of the flash fine, but it also assumes that I want "fill"

here a challenge for who wants help me.. I have a jpg pic of 700 KB.. When I open it I see the image with 160x120 pixels PhotoPaint tell me the image is 56 KB sized (!)

I'm a portait photographer and at the moment use rolled white vinyl and black cloth or paper as backgrounds. I have bought the 3 roll holder expan set to hold the backgrounds along with the superclamps to attach it to the background support I had been using.
