I received an e-mail from Hoodman Customer Service (Torrance, CA)today

The Ontario vendor must have sent my inquiry on to Hoodman.

As a long time user of Minolta 35mm SLR film cameras, I have been
interested in eventually obtaining a digital camera that will accept my
accumulated lenses. I have been considering the Konica Minolta Maxxum
D7, but undertsand a D5 version has recently been released. Can anyone

Recently, my lovable Olympus c4000z lens fell off.  Kinda weird yes, but it

send off to Olympus or whomever.
Also, moreso is anyone interested in purchasing the camera for parts or to
Canon Pixma 8500 discontinued?!!!02 Sep 2005 00:07 GMT3
I was surprised to see that the Canon Pixma 8500 (as well as other Pixma
models) are being discontinued.  Does anyone know the reason for this?  I
take it they weren't hot sellers or something?  I just bought mine about 6-7
months ago.

Has anyone seen this problem?

Tamron 18-200 vs Sigma 18-125 & 18-20001 Sep 2005 22:56 GMT11
One semi-frequently asked question is whether the Tamron or Sigma 18-200
is better.  Over the weekend I looked at back issues of Popular Photography
and recorded SQF scores for these two lenses, and the Sigma 18-125 as well.
Here are grades for 20x enlargements.  Although the Tamron ...

took the plunge into digital photography01 Sep 2005 17:40 GMT7
Well, after reading some here and elsewhere, decided to learn some
digital photography and take the plunge into purchasing a new Canon
20d, Tamron 28-75  f/2.8 XR Di LD lens (for starters) and a 580ex
flash.  I expect I may want to expand on this later but I hope this
Sony DSC-W5 battery question01 Sep 2005 17:29 GMT18

8 1/2 x 14 Photo Paper01 Sep 2005 15:35 GMT2

for printing 8 x 12 prints, but Kodak doesn't make it anymore.  Can't find
it anywhere else either.  Buying larger paper and cutting it down is a huge
waste of money, not to mention a paper cutter large ...
