| Which Brand Injet printer Should I Buy with Refillable Cartridges? | 05 Sep 2005 01:02 GMT | 2 |
I want to buy a combination scanner/inkjet printer that uses refillable cartridges? I believe HP inkjet cartridges have chips on them that prevent refilling, ie after being refilled the printer still senses the cartridge is empty.

| Canon G5 | 05 Sep 2005 00:05 GMT | 2 |
I've been playing with my new G5. I find that I can play around with the piccies after I've taken them such as zoom in to a particular person in a group. Please, can anyone tell me how to save the zoomed in image to my flash card so that I can get a print of the original shot and ...

| Appearance setting on RSE | 04 Sep 2005 20:56 GMT | 1 |
More often than not, I would say 90% of the time, I am using the "Indoor Normal" appearance setting in RSE. Do you have a "go to" appearance setting? It sort of seems to me that some of the other settings are a little over-saturated, or that they make the picture

| Nikkor 60mm Micro and D70? | 04 Sep 2005 18:08 GMT | 10 |
I am looking at getting the Nikkor 60mm Micro lens, but I want to be sure I won't have issues with sensor reflection and this lens. Any experience out there with this combination? 60mm seems sufficiently long to avoid this problem, but I thought I should check before making

| Go with Standard AA or proprietary battery? | 04 Sep 2005 16:18 GMT | 7 |
I have been narrowing down the cameras I'm looking at but most of the cheaper cameras use standard AA NiMH batteries. Are these good to go with or should I go with the more proprietary lithium batteries? I know they cost more but though they may last much longer.

| Pentax Optio 60 | 04 Sep 2005 15:06 GMT | 10 |
I'm shopping for a low end P&S digital camera. Am pretty close to going with a Canon A520, but just ran across the new Pentax Optio 60 and it looks pretty good from the specs. But I'd like to see pics before I make a decision, since picture quality is my number one priority.

| Michael Reichmann's initial look at the Canon 5D with a few pics | 04 Sep 2005 13:47 GMT | 18 |
http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/cameras/5d-samples.shtml A lot of Reichmann's past reports have been just plain wrong. So never talk everything he writes as gospel. William L Castleman can generally be relied upon for Canon lens reports.

| Eos 20d first impression | 04 Sep 2005 13:23 GMT | 3 |
Having just got this camera about 2 days ago and taking some real shots around 8 pm or so this evening of a bunch of 1930's cars with just the built in flash, I must say I was impressed. The sun was in decline but you can't see that in the pics.

| Coolpix 8400 write speed... | 04 Sep 2005 11:14 GMT | 2 |
Does anyone know the maximum write speed of that camera? I don't want to buy some expensive high-speed card if the camera can't make use of it. Lots of Greetings!

| Need Velbon Carmagne 540 Instructions & Advice | 04 Sep 2005 05:56 GMT | 2 |
I just bought a Velbon El Carmagne 540 tripod from Wolf/Ritz Camera. The salesman, who was sympathetic but obviously not very experienced with this store or this tripod (and had a British accent that I did not always understand), suggested that I could buy all sorts of things for

I've just gotten a used minalota elite film scanner. It works fine, but.. I can see the light source and the sensor. Which way should the emulsion go? I assume it makes a difference.
