Nikon D70 ToneUp v2.1r Upgrade released..07 Sep 2005 16:50 GMT1
For anyone with ToneUp, I have just released the latest version that
improves the image
processing tools (adding brightness and contrast adjustment) and 'smart'
image resizing during batch conversion. This allows you to specify different
RAW: where's my 8.2MP?07 Sep 2005 16:32 GMT9
just getting stuck into my new 20d and have started using RAW+JPEG and
notice that hte RAW pics are NOT 8.2MP like the JPEGS. I am sure there is a

FWIW, I am going to load up PS Elements soon as I have been made aware of

Weet iemand waar je een jaarkalender kunt laten
maken en daarbij zelf de digitale foto's kunt aanleveren ?

Heliopan lightfilter07 Sep 2005 13:28 GMT3
Just picked up an Olympus 50mm Macro lense, remote control, bag, and
mini-tripod, and they threw in a heliopan KR 1,5 filter.  What is this
filter used for.  They said it would fit the macro lense, but should I use
it in macro mode, or portrait mode.
Photo discs (OT?)07 Sep 2005 09:53 GMT5
This may be OT, but we've been trying to make photo slideshow discs that can
be played on a standard DVD player.  The problem is the ones we are finding
can only play one song or MP3 track per show in a loop.  Does anybody know
of a really good program that would allow us to ...

Sony H1, Canon S2, Panasonic FZ20, Minolta Z507 Sep 2005 02:23 GMT36
Popular photography recently (August 2005) compared these 4 5MP EVF
image-stabalized ultra-zooms.
Here are some conclusions:
Sony H1: Only 2 AA batteries, no hot shoe or flash connector, and no RAW.
Dull colours from the Sony W707 Sep 2005 00:03 GMT1
Recently bought a Sony W7. Although, I haven't used it extensively I
feel the colours from the camera are somewhat dull (comparing it to
even a Canon A65). Any suggestions to *bring them to life*?

Tripod for 5 Lb. camcorder06 Sep 2005 22:21 GMT1
I would very much appreciate recommendations for a very light weight /
compact tripod which can be used with an HDV camcorder. A fluid head is
apparently an important feature based on some of the articles I have seen.
TIA

Tamron 75-300 Vs Tamron 70-30006 Sep 2005 19:14 GMT1
I hear good things all the time about the Tamron 70-300. Well I just picked
up an EF-mount Tamron **75**-300. Got it at Fred Miranda for 60 bucks
shipped. It looks almost identical except for not having a macro switch, and
I think it does 1:4 instead of 1:2. Not sure.
Which would you choose?06 Sep 2005 17:31 GMT11
I'm finally going to buy a digital camera.  The ads in today's paper
show:
1.  Fuji A345  (4.1 mp) for $149
2.  Kodak Easy Share (4 mp) for $179
