| Noise | 18 Sep 2005 21:27 GMT | 21 |
I'm using a Canon 350XT digital rebel with kit lens and Sigma 70-300m lens. Some pictures display noise - particularly in landscape sk areas. This is not a problem at smaller print sizes but becomes a majo problen at 12x18, 20x30, etc. Any suggestions welcomed.

| Changing File Number in Nikon Coolpix Cameras? | 18 Sep 2005 19:16 GMT | 6 |
I use three Nikon cameras (the Coolpix 8800, 8700, and the 4300), and have several GB of memory cards. Keeping track of the images is becoming a problem, even with the "folders" created in the cameras.

| Jobbing out camera manufacturing | 18 Sep 2005 19:07 GMT | 18 |
Cruising through Walmart for dog food, I glanced at the Pentax Optio 50, a pocket digicam. Cheap plastic, three-button thing, wouldn't last a year. Three cameras down, sat an identical Vivitar digicam with the same three buttons, mode dial, and all other bits the same. Price

| how to change the default resolution on Olympus Camedia C-350? | 18 Sep 2005 16:10 GMT | 2 |
I know how to change the resolution when I open up the camera to take pictures. However when I close it, the next time I open it, it's forgotten what resolution I had chosen, meaning I have to go back into the menus to change it again.

Does anyone know of any good software that I can use to make some panoramic images of some pics I have taken. It must be relatively easy to use and I'm willing to pay for it if it's good. Jan

I am thinging about a change from my Nikon D100 to the D2x. I thing a lot of D100-User are here in this group, which changed meanwhile to the D2x, so which are you experiences? As the D2x is not cheap: is it worth to buy one or did you regret that you changed?

| Looking for an inexpensive compact camera | 18 Sep 2005 07:51 GMT | 16 |
I'm sure this has been asked many times, but there are so many blasted models out there it's hard to keep track. Then they go and invent new model numbers for different stores and minor features... I want a small camera. Something that I can always have on me for

| hotshoe to hotshoe flash cable | 18 Sep 2005 03:58 GMT | 13 |
Can one find somewhere a generic hotshoe to hotshoe flash cable (about 3ft extended) to connect a Lumix FZ20 to an Olympus T-32 flash in manual mode? Olympus has a hs-to-hs cable but prices range from $60 to $90! Rather steep for a simple piece of wire and bits of plastic.

| Thanks for help - I took the plunge. | 18 Sep 2005 03:31 GMT | 13 |
Thanks to CanonGirlie and BD for their advice on lense specs !! I took the plunge and bought the Canon 350D today. Very please with it indeed, it makes using manual exposure so much easier than on my Digital. Missing the 10x zoom I had on my Kodak DX-6490 though !!

| Nikon D100 shutter synch | 18 Sep 2005 01:11 GMT | 3 |
I have a Nikon D100 and just recently bought a Nikon SB-600 Speedlight, which I have yet to do much work with. I'll have to figure it out since I'm supposed to shoot a concert next Saturday night. Correct, I'm not a professional photographer. And I don't want to screw things up with ...

| pls recommend a cheap point and shoot | 18 Sep 2005 00:06 GMT | 1 |
I'm looking for a cheap point and shoot digital camera (sub £150). Doesn't have to be high in pixel and least 3-4megapixel. I'd like it to be fast from clicking the button to actually taking the picture.

| Canon Powershot SD-400 : shutter delay question | 17 Sep 2005 23:08 GMT | 1 |
Would someone tell me how to set the shutter delay so that I get just one shot at the end of the delay? I've tried several things, and checked the manual, but cannot get it to do anything but a three-shot sequence after the delay ends.
