Am hearing a lot of good things about the Powershot S2 IS. Only thing stopping me from buying it at the moment is that about 30% of my shots are taken whilst diving at recreational depths. I know the Canon S1 IS had a dedicated housing but does anyone know if Canon plans to ...

| ISO noise vs. long exposure noise | 27 Aug 2005 19:14 GMT | 5 |
Does anyone know of any data about ISO noise vs. long-exposure noise? In other words, at what point does long-exposure noise become worse than the noise you'd add by moving to a higher ISO? I've got a D70, and I'm trying to take several-minute-long photos of dunes lit only by the ...

I have a 128MB SD card for Kodak digital camera. During a long time travelling, it is obvious that one SD card is not sufficient to store all pictures. Can you please suggest how to solve this problem? Thank you very much.

| What lens should I but for a canon 20D? | 27 Aug 2005 15:13 GMT | 7 |
I'm getting a Canon 20D soon. I'm thinking of buying the body only and getting a 17-85 USM lens instead of the 18 - 55 standard. Would this be a more versatile choice?

From what I have researched, Pbase seems to be the best value for the $. I realize that there are free sites but I seem to be having trouble upload batches of files. Pbase seems to be relatively trouble free. Or am I missing something.

| canon 300D, same as DS6041 model? | 27 Aug 2005 06:59 GMT | 45 |
I have a chance to get a Canon DSLR, model DS6041. Is this the same as the Canon 300D? If so, I've read that some "patches" are required to bring this particular camera up to snuff. ;)

Anyone else out there using this lens with your digital camera? Mine is reverse-mounted to my D70s, and I am using the built in flash. I've had moderate success, but I was curious as to how some of you might be doing your macro work. I would like get a bit more detail. My macro

| Digital printing come full circle back to best and easiest done by printing pros ? | 27 Aug 2005 03:03 GMT | 14 |
Over the years it was the common norm to bring one's film to a developer / printer. Black and White was more do-able in the garage or basement, but color was challenging to the point of being practical and cost effective to just drop off and pick up.

| Kodak SD 512 memory card HANGing, wants formatting | 27 Aug 2005 01:58 GMT | 13 |
The last two times I've used my Kodak SD 512MB card in my EasyShare Z7590, it has crapped out after about 15 photos and insisted it needs to be reformatted (which would erase all the pictures taken). It's only taken 1.5MP photos, so what the heck? Flaw in the card, or was I maybe ...
