Camera advice02 Aug 2005 22:36 GMT5
I have a now ageing Canon Ixus V.  I love the camera but have always been
disappointed with the flash.  I am looking for a replacement that has a good
flash and as big an optical zoom as possible.  I'm more concerned about
those two things than the number of megapixels as I ...

I have a Kodak EasyShare DX7440. My daughter is in high school

pictures I get while the band is standing still are ...

Connecting Canon ixus 50 to PC through usb (WinXP)02 Aug 2005 21:45 GMT1
I have some troubles connecting my Canon ixus 50 to my PC running WinXP. The
first thing I did, was to connect the camera to the PC through a usb
connection, which resulted in a popup informing that an unrecognized device
was connected. As this did not work, I studied the manual ...
can a scanned 35mm from a analog camera be as good as a digital capture?02 Aug 2005 21:22 GMT9
using of course, a high end drum scanner.  which do you think would have the
higher resolution, clarity and focus?  I think a drum scan from  Velvia film
captured with a Canon/Nikon High end film camera  with the best lens beats
every digital out there.

Kodak C360 compare with CX753002 Aug 2005 19:54 GMT6
I am looking for a camera for my wife.  The Kodak CX7530 and the Canon
Powershot A520 are at the top of the list.  She especially likes the
feel of the A520, but has not had any experience using either.  Anyone
have an opinion?
Cameon Diaz' $3.3 million 19 year old topless photos02 Aug 2005 19:51 GMT33
These are reportedly the photographs that are now the focus of the
lawsuit between her and the photographer who took them. I personally
don't think they're worth a second look let alone $3.3 million. He
seems to be facing 6 years in jail.

Just wondered what people think about the various printing services.
There are so many services nowadays. Also wanted you to check out this
site http://www.printrates.com - they try to compare the services
mainly on cost and users' reviews.

I have a friend who's had his practically new Canon 300D in the repair
shop for six weeks, and he can't seem to get the repair shop to fix
his camera.  Is the repair shop answerable to Canon?
Thanks.
Downloading using PhotoShop (PSDs vs. JPEGs)02 Aug 2005 14:57 GMT11
Greetings, In posting this thread, I know I could just as well have chosen a
Windows Related NG but thought to try here first since this NG is totally
related to my problem.
I've got the Canon PowerShot S50, and have the corresponding software
Why can't a non-SLR have equivalent quality?02 Aug 2005 13:39 GMT181
I've been waiting and wondering when we will see this.
I'm personally tired of carrying big cameras. I've got a great point and
shoot 7mp. I would like some more lens flexibility but don't want to be
burdened down by a SLR. I used a film SLR but found the size differential
