I've tried using several different soft focus filters on my D1, D100 and D2X. I'm finding that the SFs seem to look MUCH "mushier" (sorry for the "technical terminology" <g>) on digital than they ever did with any of my film cameras (N90s, SQ-Ai, etc.). Has anyone else noticed ...

Yup still whining away here. After doing a firmware flash in which everything seems to have been done correctly the camera is dead. It was a week after the warranty ran out so they want $150. Obviously I can buy a new 765 for $230-250 and have found 750s for 200

If I leave my A95 in Auto for ISO is there anyplace that records the actual ISO chosen? Would it be better to pick the ISO myself? I guess you could take along an external light meter and figure out

Does anyone know how to put a date stamp on pictures taken with an Oly D-580? I have looked thru the manual, and date and time are set, they show up in the properties for the pictures, but I can't get the date to be displayed when viewing/printing the pictures.

I have produced a slide show using Adobe Photoshop Elements with music and transitions. I was quite pleased with the result until I saw someone else's slide show. It had a lot more sophisticated transitions than mine.

Bought a new card used it today and all shots (100'ish ) are viewable on the camera 'review' mode on its LCD screen. However when I put in USB card reader it says it needs formatting. I did format the card before I used it for the first time so not sure what's going on as shots ...
