Using Kodak Kiosk Print Order 15 Aug 2005 03:13 GMT1
A local store has these Kodak kiosks-insert memory card, choose sizes,
make order for prints of digital images which I used for the first time
the other day.
Is there a resource site that gives guidelines as to what resolution for
Opening up a Fuji E55015 Aug 2005 01:13 GMT5
How hard is it to open an E550 to get access to the shutter release button
circuitry.
I'd like to make a remote shutter-release for some animal photography.  If
these things open up "fairly" easily I can do the rest (electronics).

Remote Switch cord over 10 ft long for 20D14 Aug 2005 23:22 GMT5
I have a Canon 20D. There is a remote switch (RS-80N3) available for this
unit. However, the cord is only 2.6 foot long. Is there another remote
switch available where the cord is 10 foot or longer.
Thank you for any info.
Storing camera in the trunk of the car14 Aug 2005 23:07 GMT18
The operating temperature of the D70s ranges from 32*-104*F.  If I am
out shooting and I wanted to stash my rig, two lenses and the D70s, in
my trunk, how long can I comfortably leave the stuff in there if it is
roughly 80*-85*F outside?  With luck I'll have a parking spot in the
Mirror Lenses Revisited14 Aug 2005 23:03 GMT36
I'm just wondering, why are mirror lenses so bad? Is it because they are
poorly made or is it an inherent problem. I would have thought that apart
from the donut shaped highlights they should be better than traditional
lenses. In telescopes, Newtonian reflectors are far superior ...

If you are local to Cambridge/Boston area could you please recommend a
CF defect after using in external reader14 Aug 2005 22:27 GMT15
This seems to be an old issue but I was not able to google a solution to
the following problem:
After using (reading/writing) a 256MB CF (working flawless for a year in
my camera) in an external USB-Reader my camera (Ixus 400) refuses to
Sunset photos14 Aug 2005 21:38 GMT11
We will be taking photos of a sunset over sand dunes in India shortly.  I've
done this before with white balance set on "auto" and I was not particularly
pleased with the color.  It was kind of bluish and lacked the "warmth" of
the true scene.  Once the sun starts down there is ...
6 in 1 reader Crashes PC14 Aug 2005 18:38 GMT8
I have a Dazzle* 6 in 1 card reader. I think it was produced by SCM
Microsystems Inc. It worked fine on my older computer but crashes the
new Dell 8400 I have. I am running XP Home. Anyone know of any new
drivers or software that might correct this? Thanks for your time.
2 Gigs of RAM...14 Aug 2005 18:00 GMT35
...and Photoshop CS is now running a little less like a hog.
Why did they have to ruin the filters interface?  I liked it the way it
was in 4.01!  I only upgraded for the RAW converter.  THE RAW CONVERTER!
lens for both digital and film-based camera14 Aug 2005 15:22 GMT34
hi, all
i own both a Minolta Maxxum 5 SLR camera and a Canon A510 digital

since I read somewhere that Tamron SP AF28-75/2.8 XR Di LD lens can be
How to take a picture of a scratch14 Aug 2005 15:03 GMT4
I trying to take a picture of my Dell Axim X3 to use on EBay.  There
is a small scratch on the screen, approximately .75 inches long and
the width of a paper clip.  The screen is reflective and I think my
4300 is focusing somewhere else as what I have been able to get of the
