First, I'd like to thank all who have helped me in the past in this
newsgroup.  I went from an old 35mm SLR to the Nikon D70 DSLR/ SB-800

it.
digital cameras that were rechargeable17 Aug 2005 12:17 GMT8
I'm looking for an older model digital camera that is rechargeable ---
not one that runs on rechargeable batteries.   I think the Sony Mavica
(pictures stored on floppies) was rechargeable but does anyone know of
another one?  (I need a brand and model no.)

Or is the current crop good enough for pros ?
Coolpix monitor image movement17 Aug 2005 02:00 GMT1
The monitor on the Nikon Coolpix after the image is shot shows a sharp image
for about 2 seconds then the image appears to move and soften. I have a
Canon 300D and have shot the same image without this anomaly. Took the card
out of the Nikon and took a look in Photoshop. Same thing, ...

Digital workflow - need some help please16 Aug 2005 23:38 GMT43
I'm new here and relatively new to serious digital photography (ie SLR
shooting RAW) and would be grateful for some advice.
I've just started to use RawShooter Essentials as my RAW image
processing software. It came out top in a review of such software in the
Be ware of www.pcconnection.com's return policy16 Aug 2005 23:14 GMT4
When you order products from www.pcconnection.com, be ware of their
return policy. There is no return for certain products. I just happened
to be caught by that trick. I ordered a panasonic DMC-FZ5 digital
camera from them recently. The camera is not working at all. I asked
Photoshop and Color Calibrated Card16 Aug 2005 23:12 GMT13
I saw a magazine article that showed a color calibration card and
Photoshop plugin combination to help correct colour.

grey. The idea was to include this card in one of your pictures, then

Oversaturated flowers16 Aug 2005 22:51 GMT7
Last weekend while out photographing waterfalls on the
Atherton Tableland I saw some flowers that were fluorescing.
I've never seen this effect before from natural objects.
I took a picture not expecting the effect to show and it didn't. Here
Best 2GB compact flash card16 Aug 2005 22:03 GMT9
I am the new owner of a Konica Minolta DiMAGE A2 camera. I was about to buy
a SANDISK Ultra II 2GB Flash card on www.newegg.com when I read a review
from someone who had trouble with this card shooting an airshow where the
temp was 92 degrees. He had to keep cooling the camera to ...
Taking Portraits16 Aug 2005 21:58 GMT10
I have the task of taking semi-formal portraits of key managers in my
company to be included in a 'gallery' of key personnel in our company
magazine. I'm not a photographer! What is the best way to go about it?
We have a meeting room that I can set up as a temporary photographer's
