| Canon S2 IS test image | 19 Aug 2005 10:47 GMT | 11 |
Near enough to a full moon, so I decided to test my new Canon S2 IS. The camera was hand held, auto settings. Maximum zoom plus maximum digital (puke!) zoom to see how it would go. I am very impressed by the results. http://tinypic.com/aoqc8j.jpg

| Replacing DC4800?? | 19 Aug 2005 08:59 GMT | 1 |
I've got a Kodak DC4800 3.1 MP camera. I like it, and I appreciate the external flash socket. I use it for indoor, dimly-lit shots with an external flash. I find the flash on the camera to be a bit dim. And I find the camera to have

| Photo or scan of Canon USA Warranty ?? | 19 Aug 2005 07:03 GMT | 20 |
I need some help. I ordered a Canon lens that qualifies for a rebate, but the retailer (buydig.com) sent me an International warranty when the ad said USA. I think the retailer is going to do something to make it right, but in the meantime my rebate is going to expire soon. So, I

| Newbie: Digital Camera Resolution Question | 19 Aug 2005 04:47 GMT | 2 |
I'm experimenting with different resolutions on my Canon A520 with a 512 mb card. I took 4 indoor shots at different resolutions, of the same object from the same distance and had 4x6 prints made.

| are color laser printers an option? | 19 Aug 2005 04:27 GMT | 16 |
Are color laser printers an option for photo work? I'm looking for an 11x17 printer. I'm frankly not sure I can tell the fine detail difference of quality between various inkjets and if I was selling prints, I would probably have them printed for me on photo paper. The

| 0 "Grabbing" a frame from a DVD to print | 19 Aug 2005 02:36 GMT | 6 |
Does anyone know of a simple way to grab a single frame from a DVD to make a print? This is from some old family home movies that were converted from 8mm film to DVD years ago. I am NOT trying to bootleg anything.

I'm confused, trying to figure out Nikon's "PictureProject" software (version 1.5) which came with the camera and is now installed on a Windows ME computer. I've been playing around with it a bit, and I'm afraid I've

| Shooting red images with Powershot A75 | 19 Aug 2005 00:53 GMT | 3 |
Everytime I try to shoot a red flower close up, I get all the focus on the background and the flower is blurry. Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong, or what settings to use. All other colours come out fine, but red just wont come into focus.

| Looking 4 some wide angle for my 300D | 18 Aug 2005 22:50 GMT | 13 |
Canon 10-22 seams to me a bit overpriced. I read some reviews of Tokina 12-24 and unfortunatelly found only a little information about the new Sigma 10-20. I'm shooting mostly architecture and landscape, often stitching a cople of photos for panorama effect. 18mm of the kit lens is ...

| commercial printer of odd-sized images? | 18 Aug 2005 21:25 GMT | 6 |
Is there a mass-market photo printer for odd-sized images, eg not 4x6 shaped or similar? I'd like the longest dimension to fit in, and the margin to be left blank on the short image dimension, rather than some stupid

| Windows software for SD cards? | 18 Aug 2005 21:17 GMT | 8 |
I've been shown and told that computer software for formatting memory cards are much better than the formatting option in the camera itself, and the person who had this on his computer told me it was free and could easily be downloaded.

| iPhoto RAW deal | 18 Aug 2005 20:15 GMT | 14 |
I'm new to all this stuff and I thought I'd fool around with RAW images to see what I could learn. So... I've got my shiny new Nikon D50, a fresh sandisk 1 gig SD card and the latest version of iPhoto.

| Deleted pics | 18 Aug 2005 19:30 GMT | 6 |
I have a Fuji XD picture card, 256 meg. Someone accidentally erased the entire card. Are they truly gone, or is there an "undelete" somewhere that I can use to recover the images? Thanks in advance!
