Canon S2IS21 Aug 2005 18:45 GMT3
I have taken a couple hundred pictures in the last week and have noticed
that when I have zoomed a photo, the photo taken is 640x480. Full frame the
photo is the typical size ie 2000x1400 etc. Is this typical or have I
messed up a setting someplace?

Any ideas on how well a Van Der Graaf Generator will charge up a Sensor

Then again, does anyone have any plans on how to make one in the kitchen ?

Minox missing on Dpreview...21 Aug 2005 17:40 GMT5
I always keep wondering, why Mionox cameras will not be
listed or tested by Dpreview. Of course I asked them per
email, and in traditional Dpreview fashion, there was no
answer.
Can Canon image file saving/naming conventions be adjusted?21 Aug 2005 17:08 GMT5
This pertains to a Canon A400, but I suspect other Canons do the same
thing.
The camera numbers/names images something like IMG_0000, IMG_0001, etc.
I can adjust whether I want the counter set to 0000 every time the card
What speed SD card for canon IXUS 40 ?21 Aug 2005 14:00 GMT8
In the manual for my camera, canon seems to recommend a particular SD
card so that it's fast enough to store high quality movies without
running into speed limitations.
It says to use a high speed card, SDC-512MSH recommended.
Canon Battery Packs21 Aug 2005 06:22 GMT2

the battery packs are interchangeable?
Telescopic Tripod Legs: Which sections to use first21 Aug 2005 05:43 GMT7
I have a tripod. Each leg is made of 3 sections which telescope into
each other, small, medium and large.
Does it ever matter which section I use first? For example if I have
the tripod at medium height I can either extend the small section, or
Praying mantis catches and eats hummingbird (!!)21 Aug 2005 01:17 GMT20
Some praying mantis and hummingbird pics have been posted to these
newsgroups lately; well, as far as I'm concerned, this is the mother of
all praying mantis and hummingbird pics!
I'm so disturbed, the horror! An insect catching and eating a bird?!

I wanted to show my wife some really nice humming bird

My son received Photoshop Elements 1 with one of his cameras, and we
installed it on his computer.
Later, when he purchased another camera, he received Photoshop Elements

Going to Rome, safety and what to shoot?20 Aug 2005 19:24 GMT22
I am a lucky guy who will visit Rome for a few days, and I would like to
hear any "Rome-experienced" peoples opinions on must-see, do's and dont's.
My problem is time and I only got 3-4 days to spend there, and of course
