Photo Organisation Software?22 Aug 2005 06:33 GMT15
I have finally purchased the Canon EOS 350D to trade up from my old film
Pentax MZ30. OK, so that's not really the point of this message, but I
love saying that :-)
On the Canon disk they supply a lot of software with overlapping

I'm trying to organize my images that are on CD's so I don't have to
put each CD in my computer and look for a particular image. I tried
creating a contact sheet in Photoshop CS, then copying and pasting it
into Powerpoint, then typing in data for each image that would enable

Flash brackets22 Aug 2005 01:31 GMT2
I shoot performances in theaters...right up on stage.  Nothing really to
bounce a flash off of...but I still angle my hot shoe flash (may 45 degrees
to 60 degrees) with a big white card velcroed to the top of it.  I think
what this does (without a ceiling to bounce off of) is ...
MP relevance?22 Aug 2005 00:34 GMT5
I hear some slightly conflicting opinions on this, so hopefully one of you
guys can help me out!  I'm considering both a 5MP and a 6.3MP camera at the
moment and wondering if I should care about the difference in MP at all?
Chances are I'm never going to blow the pictures up ...
Canon A310: Does increasing memory increase video recording duration?21 Aug 2005 23:45 GMT18
I've a Canon A310 digital Camera with 32mb CF card. It has got a video
recording capability of 30secs with 640x480 size.
If I use 128MB or 256MB CF card instead, Can I record video for more
time? Or it is fixed for only 30 secs.
Need recommendation for monopod with head21 Aug 2005 22:25 GMT2
I am looking for a monopod with head able to handle 2 to 2.5 kilograms (4.4
to 5.5 US pounds). I want to use it for a DSLR, macro lens, one external
flash unit, butterfly bracket and focusing rail. I am looking for a monopod
with head for less than US$150. Any recommendations?

I am very interested in the Fuji F10 with its high film speed abilities,
however I question using a camera without an optical viewfinder. I
currently have a small digital with optical as well as the lcd,but find
framing pictures difficult using only lcd. Is this something one ...

Need a good, easy-to-use digital photo album21 Aug 2005 20:04 GMT3
Nikon's "PictureProject" that came with the camera (Nikon Coolpix
5900) is my first encounter with a digital photo album, but I've
found it very confusing and not very user-friendly, and have the
same impression backed up by others in this newsgroup, so I'm

Folks
Looking for a good book on using on and off camera flashes/Strobes for
