First post to the group, so will start by simply saying hello. I am here as I have just purchased a Canon EOS 350D (in the states its the Rebel something or other). I have wanted a DSLR for a while now having only a Exilim digital camera up until now.

I'm shooting on the beach in brilliant sunshine. Slight haze with a POL filter and a low sun behind me. I'm taking a picture of a white sailboat on blue water. The POL filter knocks out any reflections from the water.

Just bought a Canon 20D and am wondering why they only have Jpeg and Raw and no Tiff. If I shoot in the Raw mode and use the Canon software to transfer from camera to computer can I then go to my Photoshop 7 and work on the Raw file? I guess What I am saying is now that I have 8 ...
