Need help with glare when photographing frogs28 Jul 2005 06:34 GMT5
I have poison dart frogs that I love to take pictures of and post to
dart frog boards and my web site. The camera I use is a Canon PowerShot
A95 with a ring adapter and a set of macro lenses (1X, 2X, 4X, and
10X). I use a tripod to take the shots when possible, but I have a

Recommendations for a fast zoom lens28 Jul 2005 02:30 GMT17
Have a Nikon D70s, and am looking into zoom/telephoto lenses - in the
$800 - $1500 range.  PRIMARY use would be stills, landscapes, but I am
venturing into sports, so I'd like soemthing fairly fast.  Some
pre-candidates include (all Nikon glass):

I've got a couple questions about color management (well, lots really,
but I'm only going to ask a couple).
I have not yet purchased a color profiling device, but I plan to soon.
I am also buying Real World Color Management soon so if the answer is

Photomax Software28 Jul 2005 00:42 GMT1
Does anyone here use Photomax software and services
(http://chucksmith.myphotomaxusa.com )? Just wanted to know your
opinion about it. Seems like one can create her/his albums on the net
for free (and the interface is just great!) and have other services
Photoshop Elements/Premiere Elements28 Jul 2005 00:40 GMT35
I'm looking at these two pieces of software in an ad from Circuit City,
for $99.99US. Is this a good deal? The ad says it's a savings of $50.
What's the difference between Photoshop Elements and regular Photoshop?
At this price, I'm assuming regular Photoshop can do a whole lot ...
Picture quality on low end cameras27 Jul 2005 22:29 GMT4
Still researching low priced digital cameras (<$200). My 2 biggest
concerns are picture quality, especially color quality) and
reliability. Can anyone suggest which manufacturers have the best
picture quality? I understand that in this price range, most cameras

Stan you heathen... come see this!  - discretion: nudity and bisexual sex, but nice ones!27 Jul 2005 20:36 GMT1
Dear Simon Stanmore,
I think I may have finally found something we could agree on after all,
pending your agreement of course. I was reminded while looking at those
photos how you thought Helena Kvarnstrom's gallery was too abstruse for
more PS6.0 and Elements q's as well as Paintshop27 Jul 2005 18:42 GMT1
I have used Photoshop 6.0 in the past and recently saw that Elements
can do some things that 6.0 cannot.  However I don't like the way that
Elements allows color adjustment compared to 6.0.  Any comments or
suggestions?  I still have both and could use 6.0 for color adjustment
minolta s414 battery usage help27 Jul 2005 18:09 GMT6
I have a Minolta s414 that I rarely use anymore because the batteries
need to be recharged after 15-20 shots. I have two sets of batteries
and both are almost new. Surely this is not right. Minolta said if you
use the fine setting this could be normal. Does anyone have any
Photo Album Software27 Jul 2005 18:05 GMT7
I use Paint Shop Pro for image manipulation.
But I still keep my photos in a rather clumsy folder structure.
What software would any of you out there recommend for managing my Photos in
some sort of Album.

Just getting into digital photography and am trying out the trial versions
