I am looking to buy a dslr camera body and use tamron lenses
with them. Has anyone done this here? I would especially like

image recovery29 Jul 2005 04:59 GMT7
I´m sure this has been asked a thousend times, but I couldn´t find a simple
answer. I accidentally deleted some pictures from my digicamera. With a
recovery software this wouldn´t be a problem. But I went and took some more
pics with my camera before I had recovered anything. Are ...
Kodak LS75329 Jul 2005 03:20 GMT5
My wife is asking that I purchase her one of the smaller Kodak Easyshare
cameras and printer docks for her limited use, point & shoot, smaller size.
I really like the v550 and v530, but with getting the printer, it is a bit
above our budget.  I found the LS753 5mp at Sams Club ...
A different type of hunting for me now.29 Jul 2005 01:51 GMT6
I grew up on a ranch and hunting was not only a great recreational
activity but at times it meant having something to eat besides beans. I
can't walk well enough to hunt in the fields any longer and although I
still enjoy shooting I can afford store bought steaks. I always thought

Canon G6 Viewfinder Problem28 Jul 2005 23:11 GMT6
I recently bought Canon G6 from Dell, and was testing its different
features. When I use the viewfinder instead of LCD, the center of the
picture is always off the focus point where I set the center of cross
in viewfinder.
Reflections from plexiglass?28 Jul 2005 21:58 GMT14
Recently I was trying to shoot through plexiglass, using a Hoya circular
polariser to try and cut reflections - without much success. The
reflections were reduced a bit, but not eliminated.
Has anyone else experienced this? I was wondering if reflections on
Filter is finally clean28 Jul 2005 20:51 GMT9
I tried my hand several times, as posted here.  I merely succeeded in
moving sh.t around the filter...removing some and introducing some
more!  Anyway, I had it cleaned by a dude who contracts for Nikon and
was down at Canaveral for the (aborted) launch last week to clean the
What digicams do that DSLR's can't28 Jul 2005 19:29 GMT66
IMHO, here's what digicams currently do that DSLRs are still catching
up to:
1) Fast, great ranging zooms. (e.g. Sony F828 - 28-200 f/2.0-2.8.
Wow!)
Question: Macro 'filters' - do they work?28 Jul 2005 19:02 GMT23
Hey all.
I recently spotted some macro lenses that would fit my Rebel 300D.
They're not what I expected - they take the form of a small stack of
filter-style lenses, that are supposed to just screw onto the 18-55 kit

Canon Powershot S2 and A-data Secure Digital card28 Jul 2005 15:59 GMT6
I recently purchased the Canon Powershot S2 IS.  The 16Mb Secure Digital card
provided by Canon is so small that I have purchased 2 different 512Mb cards:
 1.  Pretec 60X card (from Fry's Electronics, locally)
 2.  A-data 50X card (from Amamax in Houston)
Nikon Coolpix 775 Jpeg Format28 Jul 2005 13:20 GMT6
Here is my problem. I want to put scanned photos ( created before
digital cameras were invented! ) on to my Nikon Coolpix 775 to show via
the RF lead on a TV. I scanned the images on to my computer and saved
them as jpegs. I copy the files on to the camera with no problem, they
Problems with Olympus Mju/Stylus 300 Digital28 Jul 2005 11:05 GMT2
When I turn on my Olympus Mju 300 Digital, the green and orange lights
blink concurrently, together with beeping, even though the battery is
fully charged. As I understand it, this behaviour is supposed to signify
that the battery is empty.
what is the difference?28 Jul 2005 09:23 GMT6
I was reading this book on photography and I was wondering if you could
please let me know the difference between 35mm and 35mm SLR.
