Night pictures...05 Jul 2005 03:20 GMT14
When taking some pictures at night, possibly some shots of the moon, the
main camera settings to change to the moon doesn't look like a bright ball
of light would be? I have the ability to change all my camera settings and
since I'm new, I've tried many but the output is still a ...
Looking for free "photo album" websites05 Jul 2005 02:37 GMT2
Are there any good, free places where I can upload my photos to
share with others?
I've been using Yahoo's photo album, only to find out that they
force images to a specific size which is pretty irritating.

I am interested in upgrading from my Fuji 4700 Zoom to one of these
models.
Which would you recommend and why?
Which is better 10x zoom and 6x zoom?

Hard drive dump using 3.5 inch drives, cheapest?05 Jul 2005 02:19 GMT9
Is there a hard drive dump that uses non-notebook drives? Better yet,
one that uses 3.5 inch drives but that allows me to add my own choice
of hard drives? I'm looking for the absolute cheapest way to dump
photos when traveling. I don't have a laptop. Thanks for any help with

onlinr photo albums05 Jul 2005 00:44 GMT2
I'm wanting to set up a photo album online so that friends and family
abroad can see my pictures. There seem to be lots of sites around -
what's the best site to go to? I want somewhere where the layout is
reasonably intuitive and which allows me to arrange pictures in
iPod photo and digital camera05 Jul 2005 00:24 GMT5
I am still not completely clear on the camera adapter.  Will I be able
to take pictures directly onto the iPod (using the iPod in place of a
CF card)?  I use a Fuji S2 and having a 60GB 'memory card' would be
very nice.  Is this how it works, or do I have to transfer the pictures
Another RAW developer, SilkyPix english beta04 Jul 2005 23:40 GMT2
SilkyPix English beta is available for download. It's pretty basic in the
beta form. The full version, in Japanese only at this time, has more
controls. Still works well for a free RAW converter, at least with ORF.
Might be worth downloading and taking a look at. I still like ...
Any Corsair SD successes?04 Jul 2005 22:44 GMT2
My new Panny DMC-FZ5 fails to format a Corsair 512MB 60x SD card
On the Corsair support forum I then read a similar tale of woe for the
same camera with the Corsair 40x card.
My card is going back for a refund (of course) but I wondered if
Scene range vs dynamic range04 Jul 2005 22:30 GMT2
Apparently the term dynamic range lends itself to much misunderstanding.
So, I propose we try some new terminology so that the various factors
in evaluating image capture can be discussed.
What I think most photographers are interested in is the scene range.
not so glowing review of the Epson 4800 printer04 Jul 2005 20:15 GMT37
Printers using the new Epson K3 inks have been getting mostly rave
reviews but here's another point of view, from someone who traded in a
4000 to upgrade to the 4800 ...

file size/pixels04 Jul 2005 19:45 GMT1
Im looking to get a compact digital camera between 5mpixel and 7mpixels. Can
anyone tell me is there a noticeable difference between these 2 resolutions,
when viewing 7 x 5 prints or just slightly larger, and what is the difference
in average file size, considering the price of sony ...
Second Camera04 Jul 2005 19:15 GMT1
My first venture into digital photography (discounting my Sony mini-DV Video
with still facility) was with a Fuji S3000.
The results have been very pleasing, however I now want a camera that
overcomes these shortfallings: (in order of frustration)
canon eos20d04 Jul 2005 19:14 GMT3
I'd like to know if the Canon EOS 20D is infra-red sensitive.
