Comming to terms with Canon Digital 350D06 Jul 2005 15:19 GMT4
Saturday, I spent from 8am until 9pm, hour off for lunch, and Sunday
from 6am until 12noon (British Summer Time) working out how to handle
and operate my new Canon 350D. This is a personal experience and  it
may not be of interest to anyone else.

How can I strengthen the spring on the mode switch? Can the black plug
be removed to reveal a screw and spring? The mode switch keeps changing
'ALL BY ITSELF' as I am handling the camera. It drives me mad to have
taken pictures then find the setting as changed.
Oly c-725 superzoom constant blurring and other probs06 Jul 2005 10:22 GMT4
For my sins I recently purchased this cam in a sale BEFORE I read some
user's reports that it had a few flaws. It can take some beautiful

Camera Source questions06 Jul 2005 07:12 GMT2
I am thinking of buying a Nikon D70s. Expresscameras.com and
digitalliquidators.com seem to have the best prices. Does anyone have any
experiences with either of these vendors? Thanks for any information.

Is Buydig.com reliable?06 Jul 2005 04:12 GMT13
They seem to have among the best prices for the D70 and D70s of any of the
more reputable shops.  What are your experiences with them?
My first camera06 Jul 2005 03:16 GMT4
I'm getting ready to buy my first digital camera. My budget ends at
$500.00 for everything I'd need. Primarily, I'd take pictures of flowers
(closeups), and then grandchildren. I just read in a Forbes Mag that the
Cannon elph would be my best bet for the money. Somewhere else I ...
Epson Scanner/Printer Profile Question06 Jul 2005 01:32 GMT2
I have an Epson Perfection 1660 Photo scanner. I use Monaco Optix to build
calibration profiles for my monitor, printer (Epson R800) and the scanner.
I am using Windows XP and know which folder to put the profiles into. I know
when to tell PSCS2 to use the printer/paper profile ...

He's the new Iranian presdient. I personally find him a great subject
for portraiture.
Canon Powershot S45 - Zoombrowser05 Jul 2005 23:33 GMT3
I've got a problem when transferring files from the camera to the PC
with Zoombrowser (4.0). I get the error message "No camera was found".
The strange thing is that it works when I use the scanner and camera
function
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5?05 Jul 2005 22:31 GMT4
I am considering one of these. Usage will be general, e.g. family and
friends, holidays, nothing specialised.
Do like the occasional bit of macro, flowers, insects etc.
The FZ5 seems to get mostly pretty good reviews. Any cameras in the same
