| Restricted apertures to F8 | 09 Jul 2005 21:19 GMT | 6 |
Hi group My A95 arrived this morning and I am happily playing with it. I find it funny that in so many reviews I didn't read anything about how annoyingly difficult it can be to stick your finger in the small hole in order to pull

| Nikon CoolPix 3100 failed expectations for battery latch lock | 09 Jul 2005 14:33 GMT | 9 |
I'm sure SOMEONE out there has a neat trick to fix or redesign this serious flaw in an otherwise well made Nikon camera. I really enjoy my Nikon CoolPix 3100 but the battery door latch broke almost the day the warranty expired.

| First shots with Panasonic FZ20 | 09 Jul 2005 14:02 GMT | 14 |
If anyone is interested, I shot some low light pics with the new Panasonic FZ20 I bought last week. I bought it to shoot silently inside churches and for those moments when the DSLRs are just too clumsy. http://www.technoaussie.com/gallery/FZ20-Pics

| I filmed video clip with camera on side.. now the video is sideways | 09 Jul 2005 07:42 GMT | 9 |
Hello, I didn't realize that holding the camera on it's side (portrait mode) would cause the video to be recorded on it's side. On the camera it looks good, but when dumped to a PC, the .MOV file is sideways so

| Nikon D70 underexposure: my 2 cents' worth | 09 Jul 2005 06:43 GMT | 10 |
I've read lots about the D70's tendency to underexpose, and can verify that it does tend to do this if left to choose an exposure for itself. The consensus seems to be that this is not a bug but a feature; a tendency to underexpose protects image data by reducing the chances of

| How effective is IS? | 09 Jul 2005 05:03 GMT | 33 |
I do some aerial photography (non-professional, but serious). At the level of work I do, I cannot come anywhere near justifying a real gyro-stabilized rig, but I could swing a Canon D20s and the 17-85 IS lens. I could, that is, if it will really make a difference. Has anyone ...

| what's the trick - sunshine | 09 Jul 2005 04:36 GMT | 22 |
Got my EOS 350d a few months back and took it on holiday to a sunny place and all bright sunshine shots are over exposed by at least 2 stops! Obviously I compensated at the time by turning down the exposure by 2 stops, but why do I need to do this. I chose Sunshine for the white ...

| Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F828 | 09 Jul 2005 02:59 GMT | 2 |
I am thinking of purchasing a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F828 in the UK but when I enquired in a few of our bigger London stores they said they had been discontinued and suggested the reason was because they were clearing them out to make way for a newer model. However, I can't find ...

| help with starbursts? | 09 Jul 2005 01:32 GMT | 10 |
Okay, I did some night shots last night, very early learning stage. I decided on f7.1 (largest number available) ISO 100 and 8 seconds exposure. I found, of course, pictures spattered with hot pixels, which I now

| best archive online? | 09 Jul 2005 00:49 GMT | 8 |
Just looking for a recommendation for the best place to archive digital photographs online. Basically I want to upload a sizable number of images taken on a recent trip so that friends and family can access them with a web browser.

| Another unknown bird | 09 Jul 2005 00:17 GMT | 11 |
I posted a photo of a bird that I was unfamiliar with a month or so ago and several people helped me identify it as a Wood Stork. Surprisingly, there was only one anal type who objected to my post as being 'OT'. He suggested a bird forum and I tried it with this latest photo, ...

| Hamstrung by a dSLR | 08 Jul 2005 23:16 GMT | 117 |
Saved up money, sold my Oly C-750, bought a Canon 300D, saved more money, and bought some lenses. The end result is that the number of photographs I take has steadily declined. I find carrying the dSLR everywhere is impractical even without all the extra lenses. So now I

| Camedia Software Lost Photos | 08 Jul 2005 22:04 GMT | 11 |
Had Camedia software installed on a Windows 98SE PC. Upgraded PC to Windows XP Pro and all the photos and albums have dis-appeared? It was just an upgrade and not a wipe and start again. Done a search on 'C' Hard drive for all photos and all *.jpg files but

| HP945 Photosmart Camera. | 08 Jul 2005 20:58 GMT | 7 |
When I attempt to show my photos on the TV screen, they only occupy the central part of the screen and leave a wide black margin all round. Does anyone know how to make the photo fill the whole of the screen? Please.
