A great gallery of photographs by Helena Kvarnstrom12 Jul 2005 22:21 GMT4
A wonderful gallery of photographs - not had much chance to absorb it
in entirety yet, but from first impressions seems to be very "fine"
indeed, though her background is not "fine art" but cultural and women
studies - and to that I would say may goodness bless the nordic chicks

Can any IrfanView users around explain why in its Print Preview window
DPI is always shown as 360 DPI? That box is not editable, so is that
just a fixed default?

XD vs CF comparison.12 Jul 2005 17:23 GMT29
My Oly C-7070 uses both XD and CF cards, I am getting somewhat variable
results with the cards I have on hand. I am looking for a comprehensive
review of flash cards. I am inclined to think that the XD cards are a dead
end.

I need to buy a camera to use for my skin/facial care and permanant makeup

Canon Hyperphoto CD -- easy file renaming?12 Jul 2005 03:46 GMT3
I've recently tried having my film burned to CD (as well as prints)
when I process at Costco. Every CD comes back with a three year old
version of Canon Hyperphoto software. (Really annoying, I might add,
as it will lock up my computer if I try changing disks without first
Question about "auto" setting vs. Iso12 Jul 2005 03:15 GMT15
I use a Sony P & S digital camera, which I am very happy with.
The default setting for ISO  was "auto".
I was wondering about what ISO could be at "Auto" setting.
My impression is that "auto" setting is the same or equivalent to ISO 100.
Ink Spots from Epson 220012 Jul 2005 02:31 GMT11
I have an Epson 2200 Photo printer.  Sometimes, I get ink streaks that
are remedied by cleaning the rollers.  However, I also get ink dots in
different places in images that are the same color as the ink streaks.
The ink dots often show up in different locations on seperate copies ...
Canon S1IS + Hoya R7212 Jul 2005 00:50 GMT7
I'm unable to get sharp IR images with the S1 with an IR filter.
Everything is always out of focus.
I'm using a tripod of course.  And manual focus.  And stopping down to
f/8.  Nothing helps.  I've run out of ideas.  Any suggestions?
