A beginners question about exposure/fill light. I use the Canon A75 and the Canon S1 SI both with basic settings. When I put the photos on my computer I am alwasy having to increase the fill light. Mostly in Picasa 2.

Can anyone explain to me the Kids and Pets mode on this camera? It seems to do away with delay in shooting, I assume this comes at some cost to focusing and white balance. There are no details on this mode whatsoever in the users manual I downloaded.
