Printing out photos at a kiosk27 Jun 2005 08:58 GMT1
I actually have a fairly decent printer at home, but I like to go to get
some printed out at a kiosk in the city when I want to get 100 or more
done. For that particular kiosk they have given me the authorisation code
for the order also as they know me now.
Fuji / Olympus xd cards27 Jun 2005 06:28 GMT10
I'd really appreciate advice here.
My ney olympus 7070 has an excellent panorama utility.
However - the manual says I need to use Olympus xd cards.
Fine so far...... I have loked on ebay but all olympus cards seem to be
Canon D20 v Canon 350D27 Jun 2005 05:51 GMT15
If this has been asked before - please forgive!
I am in the market for a new 8 mp Canon camera (I'm in Europe).
I have been told by a dealer that the D20 is being discontinued - is this
correct?
Working without a flash27 Jun 2005 05:22 GMT6
I have a Canon Powershot A80 that I have been using for over a year now
to take photos of bands while they are performing. Even after a year of
taking photos I am still learning and I have started experimenting with
not using the flash except for a few backup shots.
A landscape shooter ditches 4x5 for digital?27 Jun 2005 02:43 GMT10
Yes, he did. And, based on the "Spiderock Sunset" examples, it's clear that
image quality was not the motivator. Score another victory for convenience
over image quality:

Digital camera I have owned27 Jun 2005 01:22 GMT13
Just for fun today I got out all my old digital cameras and took a
photo of the same scene.  I then up-sampled them all to have the same
height (2448 pixels) and cropped out a 640 x 480 piece.  Note because
of the aspect ratio of the 20D vs the F828 it gives the F828 a slight

Any usage differences besides LCD size and battery type?
Was all set to get the P200 until I saw an ad today for the W7.
Thanks, Allen

Dear members:

How to make slide show on DVD?26 Jun 2005 22:15 GMT21
Does anyone know the best software to make a slide show and burn this
to a DVD so that it will play on a standard domestic DVD player?
I am in the UK so would need to support PAL not just NTSC.
Have tried Roxio 7.5 but it seems v complicated. I need something
RawShooter Essential spazzing out?26 Jun 2005 22:11 GMT11
For those of you who use RawShooter Essentials 2005, have you noticed
from time to time that the bar with all of your proxies spazzes out for
no particular reason?  Seems like at random it starts shaking and
quaking and won't stop until/unless I close out the program altogether.
CMYK colour spaces and RGB-CMYK conversion26 Jun 2005 19:27 GMT3
What is the "standard" CMYK colour space (as AdobeRGB in RGB)?
I need to generate a CMYK panorama. Should I convert the three RAW
images to CMYK TIFF, then merge them or is it ok if I convert them to
RGB TIFF, merge them and then convert to CMYK TIFF ?
