Panasonic DMC FZ528 Jun 2005 12:04 GMT28
I had made a choice for my plunge into digital but waiting for my local
store to carry the one I wanted I had time for my mind to wander and more
important to educate myself a bit more.
I have learned perhaps I don't really need the highest mega-pixel P&S. I
Olympus C5500 - Panorama Mode28 Jun 2005 10:51 GMT8
I'm thinking of getting this camera, so I downloaded the manual.
The instructions for panorama mode  include the following:
The part of the previous picture where it will be joined to the next picture does not
remain in the frame on the edge of the screen. You have to remember what ...

concerning Shutter lag.

Which cameras have real Image Stabilization?28 Jun 2005 08:27 GMT11
A friend is in the market for a new digital camera. He wants to spend under
$900. We have agreed that real image stabilization is a must have feature.
Has anyone a list of which camera models have IS so one can then compare
those to see which suit his needs?

Artpix dg50 Dital Photo Frame - JPEG Image Problem28 Jun 2005 06:27 GMT2
I have the digital photo frame identified in the subject. I like the
frame, and it works as advertised, except for one nagging problem. If
I save a JPEG image out of Photoshop CS or Elements 3, and certain
other programs at the resolution suggested by Artpix, they are either
First cleaning of filter28 Jun 2005 06:07 GMT5
Well, the good news is that I didn't break the camera cleaning the
sensor...or rather the filter!
The bad news is that I not only succeeded in simply moving the dust
spot around, I introduced a few new ones, as well.
Photo Paper: Which side to print?28 Jun 2005 04:27 GMT20
I have a box of officemax photo paper that is satin. What side do you
print on? One side is dull and the other is somewhat glossy. Wouldn't
you print on the dull side?
I await your expert responses.
Please recommend a good digital camera28 Jun 2005 04:10 GMT9
I have never used a digital camera. I would like to buy one now with
5-7 MP resolution. I want it to be small (easy to travel with), have
oversized LCD screen (at least 2 inches), and provide good enough
quality for normal, non-professional use with shapr/crips pictures
How do you resize digital images for printing?28 Jun 2005 03:34 GMT10
I take pictures with Sony T1 P&S camera (5.1 MP) and images  are then
downloaded onto HD.
All images are in jpg format.   I use Photoshop v. 7 for resizing pictures
for printing.
CIPA Test for battery life in Canon cameras28 Jun 2005 03:19 GMT9
I have just purchased a Canon A520, and I'm pretty satisfied except for
battery life.
Canon claims 300 shots with NiMH 2000mah batteries under standard test
condition (more or less like CIPA conditions, move lenses forth and
best repair center for Canon cameras?28 Jun 2005 00:54 GMT1
What is the best repair center for Canon cameras? I have an A10 and A70 that
need repairs.  Factory service is too expensive for me. Thanks to everyone's
contributions to this newsgroup.

Lexar SD memory card27 Jun 2005 23:40 GMT1
Recently, I put a new Lexar SD 256mb memory card in my digital
camera....I was able to take pictures with it and view them on my camera

states there are no pictures...and that there is something wrong with
