Anyone have an Epson Stylus Pro 4000?  Comments?05 Jun 2005 02:53 GMT2
I am thinking about buying one of these and I would like to hear some
comments on it.  Is it expensive to run ink wise?  Is there a CIS for it?
How is the image quality compared to a Epson 1280 and how is the image
quality in general?  Speed? Also, any other comments would be ...
Sigma Four Thirds 20D-Killer rumor05 Jun 2005 02:17 GMT490
I've been hearing plenty of great things about a soon-to-be released
Four Thirds 20D-Killer body by Sigma.  The sensor is supposed to be
an improved version of the Foveon, manufactured by a licensed
third-party company.  The announcement will probably happen before
Canon i9950 printer and reds05 Jun 2005 01:43 GMT6
The i9950 is a superlative printer, however, if fails when printing reds, in
particular on non-Canon papers (yes, I did profile the printer with a Gretag
Macbeth device, no less!!).  I am now using an art paper I like a lot

Question on  ISO settings05 Jun 2005 00:31 GMT8
I take quite a few digital images of still objects in a light box.
The box is illuminated with external incandescent lights.
Is there any reason to choose a particular ISO setting under these
conditions?  I've been leaving it on 100, but wonder if there's a
Yellowstone/Glacier -  KM Z2 versus Fuji S5100 versus Oly C77004 Jun 2005 20:40 GMT3
At some point I am going to have to decide between these cameras before
I lose my mind...
I was planning on grabbing the Canon S2 but the image noise at low
ISO's really threw me off. Im not going to pay 500$ for high noise at

Wedding must haves-should haves-could haves?04 Jun 2005 15:50 GMT13
I'm a working photographer but I don't do weddings. This will be my first
one. I have a meeting tomorrow with the client and I need to know what makes
up the formal shot list. You know, bride and groom, nieces and nephews,
inlaws and outlaws, etc. The wedding isn't until August and ...
Focussing issues with Olympus CAMEDIA C-47004 Jun 2005 14:57 GMT9
I was able to get a Olympus C-740 at what seemed like a
pretty good discount, because 3.2 megapixel cameras are
now passe.  I have been fooling around with it, and some
of my pictures have been coming out much sharper and more
Batteries?04 Jun 2005 14:49 GMT10
I just got a 'nice' fijifilm E510 finePix digital camera for my bday..
but man does it suck batteries...  A few shots on new batteries
and they are toast.
Anybody know a good brand of battery for this camera that last?
Canon Software Lockups04 Jun 2005 14:27 GMT6
I've got a new G6 - which I love! - and the Canon software that came with it
seems to crash without fail while transferring the pictures from the camera.
Generally, this occurs when the ZoomBrowser software attempts to launch
during the transfer.  I can't see how to disable that ...
troublesome pixel04 Jun 2005 14:25 GMT3
I've just noticed I have a troublesome pixel in my camera's sensor. I
didn't notice until now because I didn't try exposures longer
than 1 sec, but today I did and after few tests with the lens cap
on and I noticed that starting with 5 sec exposures I get one central
