A tip for shooting posters, resolution charts etc.05 Jun 2005 16:45 GMT4
How to "get it square on":
I've seen people asking for advice on how to get the camera perfectly
aligned (perpendicular ? to the subject) when photographing say a poster but
have never seen the following method mentioned:
Cost of digital prints05 Jun 2005 16:28 GMT27
A buddy of mine has asked me to print 500 of his snapshots from his South
American vacation, and is insisting on paying me for the trouble. Given
that its 500 prints, I'm going to let him pay me something close to the
cost of paper and ink. The problem is that I haven't printed ...

Today I bought an Epson C86 because it has the 'use black ink only'
function. I intend to use compatibles not originals - any recommendations
from people in the UK?

Digital SLR - Another Thing05 Jun 2005 15:40 GMT16
How do other people's shots which include cloud turn out? If I were
trying to show someone who doubted digital a photo taken with a digital
SLR I would NOt include clouds. Ok I may not know hwat I'm doing, but
look at this otherwise great photo on Steve's Digicams: the surf boards
Canon 20D / dirty sensor / small circles within image / wait 1min to change lenses ???05 Jun 2005 15:28 GMT11
SITUATION:
There is small circles with a pin point in the centre of each appearing
within all images taken.
Could this be a sign of a dirty sensor?
Panasonic DMC-LC1 (Leica D2) alternative05 Jun 2005 12:14 GMT1
Do we have any alternative to the above 2 cameras - fat big internal
focus lens with real glass and coating? Im not impressed with the
panasonic, very cheapy built for a $1500 camera with plastic lens and
flimsy controls.
Matching Nikon camera to an Incident meter05 Jun 2005 10:30 GMT3
I use a Nikon 5700.  In manual mode, or AP, SP, I can never match the
exposure so that it is the same as my Minolta IV4 incident meter.  I have
taken camera reading from my grey card, fiddled with changing ISO values,
but never do they match up.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Transferring DVD photos to a VCR05 Jun 2005 04:20 GMT4
I transferred some coloured DVD-RW photos to my VCR. Instead of coloured
photos I got black & white. While they were being transferred the appeared
on the TV screen as  Black & white.
What am I doing wrong?
Freeware to burn photos to CD?05 Jun 2005 04:05 GMT17
I've used Musicmatch Jukebox to burn JPGs and BMPs (and text files) to
a CD. But Musicmatch Jukebox only allows 5 or so burns before you have
pay to continue using the burner option. Is there freeware available
that can burn data files onto CD? I don't really need to create a
Konica Hexar   vs.   Panasonic DMC-LC1 or the Leica  Digilux 2 quality05 Jun 2005 03:59 GMT2
Anyone has both of these camera could give me a comparison in picture
qualities? I know it is an unfair question, but I am interest in the
feel and quality  of my Hexar and want to have some opinions before my
interest of the LC1 become an urgent issue.
