| How do I guarantee that the flash will fire and where did I go wrong? | 06 Jun 2005 01:57 GMT | 4 |
Recently I was taking some photos at a children's birthday party that was lit by an electric light bulb on the ceiling. my first photos were very dark as it looked like the camera adjusted to the light source from the lit candles on the cake

| Why Obsolescence | 06 Jun 2005 01:55 GMT | 10 |
1The question of Obsolescence was recently raised and where it comes to electronics/cameras: Electronics (and today's cameras are masterpieces of electronics) is a rapidly changing field and the parts used in cameras even more so with

| Internet Black Holes | 06 Jun 2005 01:04 GMT | 3 |
There is only one hands on evaluation of a pre-production Nikon 55-200 lens on the web. There is no hard information on a release date for this lens. More important: does anyone really know if Mitsubishi controls Nikon? Or is

| How can I tell what lens 'spec' is 'wide angle'? | 06 Jun 2005 01:04 GMT | 4 |
How do interpret the figures given for lenses i.e. 28mm-114mm in conjunction with zoom, f factor etc to gauge whether a camera has a good wide or poor narrow field of view? I would rather know what width of view the camera would take at what distance as these figures are ...

After looking for a few months off and on and reading dozens of reviews from camera experts and camera users, and getting a lot of help here for my questions, I bought an HP M517 a week ago, but have a couple of concerns/questions. I took a lot of pictures in the last week and

| Cleaning of ancient transparancies | 05 Jun 2005 20:42 GMT | 5 |
Advice please ! I have around 500 Kodachrome and Agfa (CT18) transparencies taken in the 1950's and 1960's which I am anxious to scan and archive to CD/DVD. Storage over the years has been far from ideal and a large percentage have

| What is 4xD Size? | 05 Jun 2005 20:38 GMT | 5 |
I've never had my digital pictures processed by a lab, online or otherwise. I read this in one forum, but I'm not a member, so I couldn't ask on the forum. What does this mean? If I were to order a 4 x 6, would it get cropped to 4 x 5.333? I don't think that's what being ...

| Date Stamp | 05 Jun 2005 20:34 GMT | 8 |
Does anyone know a good program for adding date stamps to pix after transfering to harddrive? My camera (exilim ex-p700) cannot date stamp at time of capture. A program that can date stamp without decompressing/recompressing jpegs would be ideal. Free would be good too.

| Lens choice | 05 Jun 2005 20:26 GMT | 3 |
I have a canon 350d and a selection of canon lenses, however, when i am out and about, it always seems that the lens i have attached is in the wrong range, and end up having to change.Given the most significant problem that seems to arise with dslr's(namely dust ingress), I thought

I've just purchased my second Fuji Finepix F440 camera as I'd like to try and make a digital stereo camera. However I'd like to remove the small clip on the side which takes the carrying strap. I can undo the 4 small screws on each side of the camera but the screws

| Megxon cameras | 05 Jun 2005 18:32 GMT | 8 |
Has anyone had any experience of using the Megxon C480 digital camera. I'm tempted to buy one on e-Bay as the price is OK but are there any major snags involved. Particularly interested in whether the lens is good or poor.

| fuji s602 52mm to 52mm-28mm to nikon fc-e8 feasible? | 05 Jun 2005 18:14 GMT | 5 |
I'm looking into making a bunch of inside room panoramas. Just taking a circle of pictures is time consuming and a narrow field of view so I am thinking of trying a fisheye lens. My plan is My s602z fuji with a 55mm tube to 52mm thread. Then a step down ring
