Velvia settings29 Jun 2005 08:40 GMT5
The following was stated in Tim Grey's DDQ for setting a 20D to capture an

The Magic Lantern Guide for Canon's EOS20D says that with this camera it's
possible to "Create a Velvia (an intensely colored slide film look) --

Anybody know if using a dedicated flash like the SB800
in TTL mode will speed up the auto focus & firing up a D70
versus using a flash in its auto mode?

Some 101, please, about LCD vs. viewfinders29 Jun 2005 03:20 GMT1
My main camera is an Olympus C-720, which has an EVF.  For a lot of

stabilization being the main ones - I much prefer to use the viewfinder,
vs. taking a picture using the lcd.

Having just adopted two kittens, I have been thinking about a new digital

Canon S110, and although they are both fine cameras, they are also seriously
flawed in comparison to my film SLR cameras.
Canon moves to SD from CF for Canon S2 IS29 Jun 2005 00:22 GMT82

1GB and CF cards (including microdrives) are available for cheap upto
5-6GB and growing.

Question about the DX7630.  I've got a friend who just bought this camera. He
found that, when the camera is powered on, the lens cap will automatically pop
off if left on.
Is this a safe practice? I suggested checking the manual but he found no verbage
Picasa2 Cropping, where is the crop stored?28 Jun 2005 22:02 GMT13
When I crop a picture it does not ask me if I want to save under a
different
name.    Does Picasa save two versions of the picture (cropped and not
cropped)?    When I open that same picture with a different pic program

For those above average amateurs or very serious hobbyists
contemplating photographing a wedding, I offer up my experience after
having just recently photographed my first wedding.  This is not the
advice of a sage or an expert.  I work at a job which does not involve
Don't buy from Kodak!28 Jun 2005 21:57 GMT28
Bought a Kodak digital camera at Christmas time and a couple months ago I

I turned it off and a little while later I turned it on and then the lens
