Vivitar 283 with Canon A7007 Jun 2005 02:51 GMT4
Trying to use the 283 (about 20 years old) with a Canon A70.  Using a slave
unit.  Getting yellow tint with this flash.
Color balance on the A70 is set to auto, as with any other flash.
Did the same with Canon 155A and light is "normal white".

I'm still undecided as it looks great but has health implications.
Problems formatting a PNY 1 Gig SD Card in Coolpix E510007 Jun 2005 00:06 GMT5
I recently purchased a PNY 1 Gig SD card for my Coolpix E5100 and it worked
fine.  I took the card in to Walmart to get some of the pictures developed
using one of their "picture maker" machines.  The card was working perfectly
before using the machine, but when inserted in to the ...
Nikon Coolpix movies06 Jun 2005 23:07 GMT6
I made some little movies with my Coolpix 5200, and they play back fine from
my computer (although the controls at the bottom don't appear until I click
on "half size"; then I can click on "normal size" and play the movie.  This
took me some time to figure out).  I copied one ...
Converting proprietary raw into DNG: how much do I lose?06 Jun 2005 22:45 GMT2
Hi, when I convert a raw file from my Pentax *istDs with Adobe Raw
Converter, the original *.PEF file of 11030 Ko becomes a *.DNG file of 6394
Ko.
What am I losing? If I'm not losing anything, why does the *.PEF need to be
E1 gets wet - photos06 Jun 2005 22:29 GMT2
Today was the first annual motorcycle show and shine in Gastown
Vancouver. Well it was pissing rain pretty good. The camera weathered
better then my clothing did. Equiped with a plastic bag and an elastic
over the flash unit I headed out into the rain. :)
Zoom: SIGMA 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC vs. Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6 ED06 Jun 2005 22:19 GMT2
Can anyone please point me to online comparisons among these two?
(I have succ upgraded my D70 to latest firmware 3.0)
I have a Nikon D70 kit and already bought and have extensively tried the
Nikon 70-300mm ED one, I get most of the time very short "focus depth"

Uploading photos back into the camera06 Jun 2005 20:15 GMT3
I have a Canon Power Shot S410.  I would like to load some of the photos
that I downloaded into the computer back into the camera so that I can show
them on a large screen TV.  I have done that with my Sony but have been
unsuccessful with the Canon.  I'd appreciate any ...
"Digital Camera" battery vs. two AA's?06 Jun 2005 20:08 GMT9
My camera came with a pair of "digital camera" batteries, but will
also run on 4 AA's.  In fact, it looks to me like each "digital
camera" battery is just two AA's joined by a plastic frame.  Is
there any reason to prefer one over the other?  Which option costs

Proshow Gold Slide Show06 Jun 2005 18:13 GMT5
I have just purchased and whilst happy with picture quality the colour
on the TV is not representative of the picture on my PC. I recently
photographed a wedding for a friend and the bridesmaid dresses were
fuchia pink on the PC and in real life however on the TV using Proshow
old lense on a Canon EOS 20d06 Jun 2005 17:45 GMT8
I've inherited an old Nikon N6006 with a Sigma autofocus 28-105mm
1:4-5.6 (58 mm dia) lense.  If I buy a Canon EOS 20d, can I use this
lense on this Canon body?
Olympus XD card won't read!!06 Jun 2005 16:13 GMT6
My 256mb XD card (Olympus) cannot be read when I put it into a card reader
to my PC.  The only way I can view and download the images is directly from
the camera to PC via a USB cable.  Why is this?
When I have my Fuji XD cards in the camera, the card reader recognises them
Digital camera with remote control06 Jun 2005 15:52 GMT6
How do you find which camera has remote control. I am looking for camera
about 4 Meg pixels, 3x optical zoom, pocket size which has wireless remote
control. This feature is not normally listed with the camera sects and
dealers do not know this either.
