Digital Camera09 Jun 2005 22:30 GMT4
I need a new camera.  Is there a site that compares and explains the
different options in the new cameras.  Ie. what storage media is faster,
etc.

I want to ask you the most important question of your life. The question is: Are you saved? It is not a question of how good you are, nor if you are a church member, but are you saved? Are you sure you will go to Heaven when you die? The reason some people don't know for sure if they are going to Heaven when they die is because they just don't know. The good news is that you can know for sure you are going to Heaven. May 20, 2005 8:34:30 pm09 Jun 2005 20:11 GMT295

Q on DPI for printing09 Jun 2005 19:54 GMT18
As mentioned under other thread, when printed at Costco, pictures came out
beautiful.
My question is what DPI Costco or Walmart sets  for printing digital images.
I assume that DPI # could affect the quality of prints.   Am I missing here?
Macro with Canon 24mm f/2.8 and Nikon 105mm f/2.809 Jun 2005 15:44 GMT11
I had a chance to put a 24mm lens in front of the 105mm and found that I got
slightly better distance between the lens and the subject.  The
magnification is greater than the 50mm f/1.4 and the date on the penny
almost fills the frame.  This shot was taken at a 45* angle and as you ...

Folks,
Using outlook express for my newsreader. Is there a way to put the replies
at the beginning of the message when reading a "Re"? They are always at the
bottom of the reply. I have to scroll down throught the message to see the
dimage 5400 and faded slides09 Jun 2005 08:48 GMT5
I went through the manuals for my refurbished Dimage 5400... then I
went through roof.
Seems I should have gotten the 5400II instead. The 5400 has no digital

cannon videocam battery question09 Jun 2005 08:00 GMT2
I have just bought a Cannon videocam (v690). The Li-Ion 1300 battery
that came with it was initially  totally flat, so I charged it for
about 12 hours.
After that I started filming. Imagine my surprise when I noticed that
Buying a Camcorder in Hong Kong09 Jun 2005 07:58 GMT7
I'm will be in Honk Kong for two days this week and I'm thinking of buying a
camcorder.
Is it worthwhile buying there, are prices much cheaper than Ireland/UK?
Would also appreciate tips on where to buy and where to avoid - a valid
Long exposure or software process?09 Jun 2005 07:10 GMT15
When we do long exposure (sometimes called bulb mode)
we have a new technology nowadays called "software bulb mode"
This means that the camera takes many normal pictures, and combines
them in software to obtain an effect of long exposure.
Was miniDV impossible to use for digital photography?09 Jun 2005 06:43 GMT10
" what really makes the S1 unique is that it blurs the lines between a
digital still camera and a digital video camcorder. You can record
video at 640 x 480 and 30 frames/second, with sound -- but just a few
minutes worth. The top resolution of 640 x 480 is a little lower than
Help with Nikon Coolpix 77509 Jun 2005 06:38 GMT4
I have a problem with my 2 year old coolpix 775, the lens is jammed out and
System Error is always reported on the LCD. I've done a quick internet
search and this seems to be a common problem (and I though I was buying a
quality product!).
Textured Photos09 Jun 2005 04:45 GMT4
I've just scanned some old colored photos that where printed on textured
(pebbled) type paper.
What is the best way to "smooth" the image in Photoshop without decreasing
the sharpeness of the image?
Choosing resolution09 Jun 2005 03:54 GMT10
Am I missing something or is it a complete and total no brainer to
shoot my pictures at 1 megapixel as long as I can change them to a
higher resolution if and when I want it.....
Also I realize I need to do a lot more practice shooting but does
