| Canon G3: Cost of Out-of-Warranty Repairs | 13 Jun 2005 03:56 GMT | 3 |
My Canon Powershot G3 worked fine until yesterday. Now, the rear LCD does not work at all. Everything else about the camera works just fine; it still takes photos, and if I connect it to the TV, the TV will display everything that the rear LCD ought to be displaying. But the ...

| Disposable digital... what? why? | 13 Jun 2005 01:48 GMT | 17 |
I've never seen a disposable digital camera, and here's what I don't get about them; why are they disposable? With film, that's easy, because you have a use-once film that needs processing, but what's disposable about a digital camera, and why can't it be used again?

| Digital SLR Sensor Dust: I Do Believe I've Had Enough | 13 Jun 2005 01:03 GMT | 78 |
Just a couple of 'thoughts', having recently reignited my interest in photography, and bought a Nikon D70. Prior to purchase, one very great man advised me, no don't buy a whiz-bang 35mm film SLR, you'll never use it, think how many more photos you'll take with a digital; another

| # MPixels displayed on a 1080i HDTV? | 12 Jun 2005 22:40 GMT | 1 |
I just got a high-def photoviewer for an HDTV. How closely do you think the number of MegaPix in the camera would relate to the clarity on the screen? For example, for the exact same shot, would there be much difference between the way a 4MP, 5MP, or 8MP camera would
