G6 Zoom Lever Sticking15 Jun 2005 06:00 GMT3
I've owned this camera for less than 2 months and the zoom lever is sticking
when moved to the 'zoom in' direction and not wanting to re-center itself.
I've seen something similar to this on display models that are possibly
subjected to abuse, but I have handled this camera with ...
CompactFlash Speed15 Jun 2005 04:29 GMT3
Does the speed of CF media affect only how quickly you can take another
shot, or does it also affect how quickly the camera reacts to the shutter
button being pressed?
Canon Powershot A95 ??15 Jun 2005 03:43 GMT8
I'm looking for a replacement for my CoolPix 950.  I don't want to spend
a lot, since I eventually will be getting a Digital SLR
What I am looking for, is one with CF media and AA batteries
since I already have a bunch of each, and do not want multiple
Digital camera lens cleaning ...15 Jun 2005 03:26 GMT14
This might sound like a daft question but what is the best way to clean
a digital camera lens?
What should I use?
TIA.
Modifying digicams websites?15 Jun 2005 02:08 GMT2
Anyone know of a list of websites that discuss modifying digicams for various
tasks? Such as remote control of cams suspended from baloons or model RC
aircraft.

5 MP, 2.5" LCD, Point and Shoot Cameras:
I am looking for a "point and shoot" 5 MP digital camera with a large 2.5"
LCD monitor, and I need some suggestions on what is the best one for my
needs (which I discuss below).
Card Reader15 Jun 2005 01:17 GMT8
I purchased some time ago a card reader from Dixons (yes I know I'm stupid)
its a PC Line CR 300.
Recently tried to load the software and got a message that 16 Bit Windows
sub system is not suitable for running Dos! My laptop simply wont recognise
nikon d70 zoom kit (when did it go on sale)?15 Jun 2005 00:54 GMT5
I see onecall has a Nikon d70 zoom kit which looks like a standard retail
Nikon offering of the telephoto lens plus extended warrantee and case.
Does anyone know when this kit was first offered? Was it soon after the d70
went on sale or later? I'm trying to determine if there may ...
Pentax Optio WP maintenance14 Jun 2005 21:36 GMT2
I realize this camera may be too new for anyone to answer, but I'm
wondering what maintenance of this camera is like? The online manual
for the camera says that Pentax recommends that the waterproof packing
be changed one a year by their service center, for which a charge will
Re: Nikon 8700 Coolpix ????14 Jun 2005 21:08 GMT2
Does anyone know if  there is an internal feature on this camera to allow
rotatation of images shot with the camera vertically to view them in the
slide show mode horizontally? I've read the manual and went through all the
menus with no luck. Seems weird that a camera with the slide ...
Pentax ist DS: manual white balance buggy?14 Jun 2005 20:52 GMT5
I today chanced upon the first misbehaviour of my (otherwise
immaculate) DS: Trying to get to adjust manual (aka custom)
white-balance, I followed the instructions (p.115-116 in the
user-manual):
What exactly is the US strategy with regard to IED's?14 Jun 2005 20:51 GMT123
Is this like a war of attrition on the insurgents' caches of
explosives? There seems to be an awful lot of folks driving around
getting blown up and not even getting a shot off from their rifles. I
mean it's one thing to volunteer for your country and another to be

Ladybug at Rest14 Jun 2005 17:43 GMT11
I shot this ladybug in the San Gabriel Mountains. The temperature was
fairly cool, and the ladybugs were mostly still for long periods of
time. That gave me the opportunity to go back to my car and get my
camera equipment. Notice the flower reflection on the ladybug's back.
Suitable flash for a Canon 300D camera?14 Jun 2005 17:21 GMT17
My Canon EOS300D has a built in flash. What advantages would I gain by
buying an external flash such as the Speedlite 220EX or Speedlite
420EX?
With either of these flashes would I still get red eye?
