Fuzzy display, Adobe Elements?21 Jun 2005 17:06 GMT9
I am learning the fine art of digital photo editing. I am currently
using Canon ZoomBrowser to upload pics from a Canon A70 and a Panasonic
FZ5. Editing is being done in Adobe Elements 2.
I have discovered that the un-edited pics look dramatically different
Soft Focus Issues / Lens Test21 Jun 2005 14:56 GMT8
So I was out the other day shooting and when I got home that afternoon I
wasn't very unhappy with the results from my EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM.
Everything seemed too soft.  This prompted me to go out the next day and do
an unscientific test of all my lenses.  The results can ...
Choice between Canon or Fuji21 Jun 2005 14:19 GMT5
Would someone mind giving a bit of advice please.
Fuji F10 zoom or Canon Ixus 700. I want mainly point and shoot but
sometimes shots of running dogs. I have heard some reports of bad
quality Canon products and the ISO of the Canon is only 400 as
Coolpix 990 or 995 for newbie?21 Jun 2005 12:32 GMT18
Hey to all you cool cats in the digital world ( photos that is)  I'm an old
SLR guy and was looking on ebay today for a used n90s when I came upon the

digital world, but are these worth buying now that so ...
$300 camera: wide angle, decent picture quality21 Jun 2005 09:55 GMT8
Helping a friend decide. I told her if you don't go DSLR, it doesn't
matter a lot for image quality, mostly fancy features like making
movies, long zoom, etc. so she's thinking a $200 camera for now. I'm
raising that to $300 to be reasonable. She has need for a wider angle

Canon Powershot lenses on Ebay21 Jun 2005 04:55 GMT6
Does anyone have experience (good OR bad) of buying lenses for the Canon
Powershot range on Ebay? I'm interested in panoramic photography and there
are kits on Ebay which supposedly give you 180° pictures compared with the
80-ish degrees I think the standard Canon wide angle ...
Question about 10D Image (from a new user)21 Jun 2005 03:08 GMT15
I just got my new Canon 10D a couple of weeks ago and have been making 100's
of exposures in an attempt to learn it's full functionality.  I've noticed
on a couple of back-lit while wide open exposures a diagonal pattern in the
out of focus light points.  I know the shape of these ...

Canon 10D flat images21 Jun 2005 00:13 GMT4
I have a Canon 10D which takes not bad shots with my old 35-135 Canon EF
Ultrasonic Lens but the results tend to be a little flat and on the dull
side - I have to edit EVERY picture I take, yet on my Nikon Coolpix 5700
there is the option within the menu to increase contrast and ...

Infrared photography20 Jun 2005 21:24 GMT32
I m very interested in getting infrared effect from my photos but I can t
yet afford to splash out on a SLR camera.  My current digi cam is an
Olympus C-350 Zoom which gives me most results I need.  Is it possible
somehow to obtain infrared effect from it, or from a software ...
Sturdiest damn digital camera with compact flash and ni-mh batteries!20 Jun 2005 20:30 GMT38
What is the most rugged consumer digital camera with cf and ni-mh
batteries?
I've broken the battery door on my Nikon, the slider door on my

CMOS x CCD sensors.20 Jun 2005 20:28 GMT6
Dear members:
I am interested in your opinions on the differences between CCD and CMOS
sensors for SLR digital cameras. Which one is the best ? Which provides the
best image quality, color fidelity and reproduction, greater color space or
20D RAW or JPEG20 Jun 2005 19:37 GMT16
I guess the subject says it all.  For those who have the Canon 20D which do
you shoot, JPEG or RAW.  Of course, you can do both if you want, but it
takes a lot of space on the card.  I'll be taking a lot of pictures in a few
weeks and taking 6 1Gig and 1 2 Gig CFs with me, and I ...
