Question regarding Canon 350D and T-mount22 Jun 2005 06:46 GMT1
If you add the Canon 350D via T-mount to a scope (microscope, telescope,
...) does the camera still meter in manual mode?
Thanks,

DSLRs or Slide Film or Colour Negative Film?    ;o)22 Jun 2005 06:44 GMT10
What's the real difference between slide film and negative film? And,
to logically expand the discussion a little further, are there any
tangible advantages to shooting digital rather than either of the film
types?
Canon 20D error 9922 Jun 2005 05:00 GMT7
I dropped my camera into Canon recently because sporadic card error and
error 99 (with battery release type lockup).  It was taking a while to
repair.  In today's phone call to service, they claimed they were "waiting
for a replacement part because of the error 99.  That may fix ...

Need a replacement for general family-life photography.
Is there a good website with reviews and recommendations for digital
cameras?
If I was to add info to a jpg does it reduce the quality?22 Jun 2005 03:30 GMT8
If I was to add information such as the title , subject, keywords etc
to a jpg does it reduce the picture quality of the jpg?
To add information I'd right click on the jpg and select properties
then click on the summary tab.
Nikon iTTL problem22 Jun 2005 03:24 GMT11
I have a Nikon D70 + SB600 flash. A very serious problem is that either with
the build in flash or the SB600, the preflash that is used to TTL calculate
the power of the main flash is well separated from the main flash about
20-30 msec. So every time you can see two distinguished ...
Vote for Sigma newsgroup to be called22 Jun 2005 03:05 GMT3
I have started the process to call for an official vote for
rec.photo.equipment.sigma.  The vote will probably start sometime next
week.  I have received an overwhelming amount of email support for this
proposal, so there is a *very* *good* chance of this group passing.

Ad hoc with 802.11g?22 Jun 2005 02:36 GMT2
I've been unsuccessful in getting the WT-2 wireless with my D2X to talk to
my Sony Vaio laptop with a Netgear 802.11g adapter. (I can establish a
connection with the internal .11b though)  Someone told me that 802.11g does
not support ad hoc, and that I could only use it going ...
Correct white balance in Photoshop?22 Jun 2005 01:32 GMT6
I made the wrong white balance setting on my Olympus C-5050.
The photos all came out dark and with a blue tint.
What is the correct way to restore the natural balance in Photoshop?
Thank you for any advice.
Bought a pedometer today!22 Jun 2005 00:08 GMT9
Found it at a £1 store. Basic design; you attach it to your belt and
it counts the shakes (well, supposedly steps, but it really just counts
the shakes), and it has a button to reset. I suspect it's woefully
inaccurate and wildly overshoots; could I have made 208 steps in the
resolution/compression questions from a newbie21 Jun 2005 21:21 GMT10
I have just purchased my first digital camera: a Olympus D-540 Zoom.
Having
read through the (rather louzy) user's manual and a couple of books
from the

canon flash exposure21 Jun 2005 19:14 GMT14
Folks, seeking comments and views, like experiences, solutions etc.
I have a 20D and shoot RAW and when using the built in flash or a 420EX
flash continually get exposures 1&2/3rd's underdone.  I have tested this
with measuring in the three meter modes on an 18% grey card in ...
30GB Hard Drive Camcorder: Editing Implications?21 Jun 2005 18:40 GMT66
I see that JVC has introduced a 30GB hard drive camcorder, the Everio:
http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content/JVC-Introduces-Four-Hard-Drive-Based-Everio
-Camcorders.htm

The above write-up by Robin Liss says that, according to JVC,
the 30GB Everio models can hold as much video as 22 ...
