What's the real difference between slide film and negative film? And, to logically expand the discussion a little further, are there any tangible advantages to shooting digital rather than either of the film types?

If I was to add information such as the title , subject, keywords etc to a jpg does it reduce the picture quality of the jpg? To add information I'd right click on the jpg and select properties then click on the summary tab.

I am trying to upload images from a Nikon Coolpix (on a SanDisk card) but cannot upload onto PC, where I get the message that the the folders are empty. (I have another card which uploads OK) I can view my pictures on the camera OK.
