display external jpg on EOS 10D?03 May 2005 18:15 GMT3
To do some display experiments, I saved a jpg file that i generated in
photoshop on a CF card and put it in EOS 10D. The camera says "incompatible
jpg format" and won't display the file.
Any idea how to make jpg file compatible with the 10D?
Picture Cooler03 May 2005 17:43 GMT5
I recently read in another newsgroup about the noise reduction
software Picture Cooler. At this time it is a free download. The link:

I've used it on several jpeg and tiff files. For a review of the
Picture Cooler in use03 May 2005 17:32 GMT4
I have been using Picture Cooler and find it to be one of the best denoisers I
have ever used--far superior to Noise Ninja, Focal Blade, Neat Image & Ultra
Sharpen.

Calibrating monitor03 May 2005 16:00 GMT6
Hi: I am sure this has been addressed many times, but I find that the photo
colour on my editing software is very different than what prints out.  Any
suggestions? Sorry, I don't have Photoshop so I need hopefully some sort of
freeware or possibly shareware.  thanks.
My first bird photo, ever.03 May 2005 13:16 GMT28
Okay, I was cooking dinner in my back yard, and I saw this flicker,
so I decided to grab my camera and shoot him.
This is from my Canon EOS 20D with the Tamron 28-200mm at f/5.6,
a manual focus, full manual exposure.  I had to correct some purple
Recommend a flash for a Canon 300D03 May 2005 11:45 GMT13
I have a 300D, but looking to improve my flash photography. I can't afford
an amazing amount of money, so the 550EX is out of the price range. Any
ideas of something pretty capable for less than the 550EX ?

image stablising lens03 May 2005 09:48 GMT13
Having recently undergone brain surgery I have been left with a minor
palsy/tremor.  I had an engagement party to shoot for a friend of mine and
have noticed that virtually all the hand held shots are soft or in some
cases even blurred due to what appears to be camera shake.  I ...
display external jpg on EOS 10D?03 May 2005 09:17 GMT3
(this is a repost; previous one no show)
In order to run some tests on the EOS 10D's LCD display, I generated a jpg
file with photoshop 6 and put it on a CF card which I then put in the
camera. Unfortunately, it says "incompatible jpg format". Does anyone know
Non Glare Glass03 May 2005 05:38 GMT23
I bought some 8x10 and 11x14 picture frames and the glare is awful.
They do sell non-glare and museum grade glass but the cost is prohibitive.
Where can you go to get glass that will deplete your pocketbook?  It
seems the frame, mat, and glass cost much more than the photograph.

Where can I find some Sony 1100MaH rechargeables? You can see a pic of
them in the link that follows (wait for the picture to change), but
there seems to be no mention of them anywhere else online!
