What is this "integrated" memory of the Casio Ex?06 May 2005 15:30 GMT10
Hello, My old Canon Sd300 "disappeared".  I hope its new owner is happy
with it.  Anyway, in shopping for a replacement ultra-compact, I found
the Casio Ex series, but am worried about the "integrated" memory that
the review at CNet talks about.  Its SD card is just an expansion.  ...
technology?06 May 2005 14:29 GMT13
Just wondering how things are developing.
. Is there a point and shoot that will let you know if you have
a sun flare in your lens?
. One that takes pictures on movement?  (Bird flys into the
toshiba PDR406 May 2005 13:52 GMT4
gave my old Toshiba PDR4 to a friend, she has an IBM Laptop with
windows 95. Although she has a USB port, we could not download the
pictures from the camera. We found a yellow exclamation mark in the
device manager under the USB port when we connected the camera. In the
[LONG] Theoretical estimates for film-equivalent digital sens06 May 2005 10:46 GMT39
This or similar topics appear quite often, but most treatments avoid
starting "from first principles".  In particular, the issues of
photon Poisson noise are often mixed up with electron Poisson noise,
thus erring close to an order of magnitude.  Additionally, most people
Kodak DX7590+Z7590+EasyShareOne06 May 2005 06:27 GMT1
This is my first post here. I had the same question with regards to th
comparison of the DX7590 and Z7590 as well as the Z740. I was even mor
confused when I shopped a retail store and found the Z740 cheaper tha
the DX7590 even though the DX7590 is a much older camera. The clerk a
Why aren't these 6 US "contractors" counted among the American dead in Iraq?06 May 2005 06:05 GMT80
If these, and the hundreds of other specwar spooks from Blackwater et
al were counted in the official US dead tally in Iraq, what would the
body count be? We're the four ex-SEALS hanging from a bridge in
Fallujah included in US body counts?
Minolta Z20 LCD Screen06 May 2005 05:21 GMT10
I recently purchased a Minolta Z20, and have found that the quality of the
LCD screen in low light was horrible. (Very grainy/noisy)
When you're trying to take a photo, the screen looks good when the focus
has locked in, and the photos turn out OK, but trying to see what you're
Airshow photos06 May 2005 04:33 GMT5
These are a couple of photos from the 2005 Ft. Lauderdale Air & Sea
show which I fixed up a little with PS CS 2 which has impressive new
tools for digital photography.
Enjoy.
Windows XP and digital cameras06 May 2005 03:44 GMT6
I have an aunt who is planning to buy a digital camera before embarking
on a overseas vacation.  She's not sure what model to get yet.  Whatever
camera she eventually buys, will I be able to upload those pics on my
Windows XP SP2 computer using the Scanner & Camera Wizard?  ...
slide duplication w/ tube,experience anyone?? 06 May 2005 03:18 GMT17
I am considering 'moving' a large amount of slides to my computer.
I've check slide scanners, and wonder if there is a less expensive way
to go.  I am looking for 'reports' from those that have ''''traveled
this road before me'''', and what their 'thoughts are'.  Thanks in
Optimum speed CF card for Canon S7006 May 2005 02:31 GMT1
Just received my new Canon S70. Want to order larger capacity memory for
this camera (>= 1GB). I've looked in the Canon documentation but haven't
found the spec's for maximum speed for CF cards. Since there are many
speeds available (ie, 20X, 40X, 60X, 80X, 100X, etc.) I don't ...

It’s Simple…Making Money - This Really Works!
Keep in mind that everything stated below is 100% legal as stated by
the U.S. Post Office (1-800-725-2161). A little while back, I was
browsing through newsgroups, just like you are now, and came across an
WHY won't Nikon meter with old lenses?05 May 2005 22:09 GMT12
I've got a friend interested in getting a DSLR, and he's waffling between the
Canon 350, Nikon D70[s], or Pentax *ist-DS.  He's a lot like me... interested in
tinkering with different lenses on the cheap.  I've been playing with some old
screwmount lenses on my *ist-DS and find ...
