How Far Will The Army Go?

How far will U.S. Army recruiters go to bring young men and women into
Mushrooming Storage Needs10 May 2005 01:39 GMT29
Lately I have begun using a Monaco color management system (alot of work but
so far an improvement over monitor only profiling) which generates
individual paper/printer profiles, essentially a unique color space for each
profile you create. When you want to print to a particular ...
AA loading - suggestion for Kodak10 May 2005 00:58 GMT17
I know you guys are moving away from AAs, but
on chance should you decide to design a new
camera with them, please consider 'side' loading
the cells.  Let the camera body take the
D70 strange behavior, dark section of photos10 May 2005 00:26 GMT8
I have a weird problem that I am really hoping somebody here might have some
insight on before I have to call Nikon.  Every once in a while I'll shoot a
picture and about the top 1/3 of it will be darker all the way across.  Doesn't
make any difference if the flash is up or not, ...

Photoshop CS/ CS209 May 2005 23:15 GMT4
Is it worth upgrading to CS2 from Cs? I use raw occasionally which I find CS
great for, what advantages does SC2 have over CS with RAW? Cost is not an
issue.
7.2v / 8.4v Confusion09 May 2005 22:37 GMT10
My Nikon Coolpix 4500 (and yours, too, I'd presume) accepts EN-EL1
batteries which output 7.2v DC (the equivalent of six 1.2v NiMH
cells).
That's fair enough, but why, then, does the little rubber cover on the
Olympus Loss of over 11 Billion Yen This Past Year09 May 2005 21:48 GMT7
They say that a turnaround is coming, but I wonder if they are going to
be able to make it.  The electronics world sure is a tough place to
play, far more so than was the traditional film camera business of a
decade or more ago.
Canon PowerShot A70 problem09 May 2005 20:45 GMT3
I have a Canon PowerShot A70, and I usually connect it to a Win XP Home
edition.
Everything was working fine until about a week ago.
Since then, whenever I connect it to the computer (via USB) I get the
How to use old Pentax TTL flash successfully with Nikon Coolpix 880009 May 2005 19:54 GMT4
I recently found my old Pentax AF280T TTL flash - it must be 15-20 years
old soon. However - it works just fine.
But can I make it work with predictability with my new Nikon Coolpix 8800?
The flash has full manual modes + automodes + TTL.
which IS lens, 28 - 135 or 17 - 8509 May 2005 19:33 GMT6
Ok, I have decided to go the IS route with a lens for my 20D.  The necessity
for IS is something I am stuck with but I have not been able to find much
comparative analysis on the Canon 28-135 IS & the 17-85 from the optics
perspective.  The focal length of either would be/is ...
Photographing gorillas in Uganda09 May 2005 18:46 GMT10
Hi, I'm travelling to Uganda to trek Mountain gorillas, and wonder what
kind of suggestions I can get for my D70 settings.  I have used SLR
with film exculsively in past safaris and this is my first trip with
the digital Nikon. Are there recommendations for setting for pictures
EasyShare install issues09 May 2005 18:38 GMT2
I bought a Kodak Z740 today to take and share pics tomorrow, Mothers Day.
My boys are actually giving it to me as a gift.  I started to install the
EasyShare
software, got tossed out because of the Windows XP installer issue,
Compatibility problems09 May 2005 18:20 GMT2
I would like to ask, whether the color cartridges for Kodak Easyshare
printers (ie, PH-40) are compatible with Canons Selphy printers (ie,
CP400) or not?
Kodak DX7590 vs Z759009 May 2005 16:40 GMT17
Hi, I would really appreciate it if the very useful Kodak rep. lurking
in this group could let me know exactly what are the differences between
those 2 models.
Thank you very much in advance, Mr. Baird!!!! I really hope you could
