Compact Flash problem30 May 2005 22:57 GMT1
I have a fairly old Fujifilm 256MB CF card that have worked for the
past year in both my parent's camera and in my PDA.  But in the past 2
weeks it has consistiently refused to work properly.
If I put it into the card reader (2 different model) the activity
Jpeg compression info30 May 2005 22:43 GMT10
Is there any way of determining what the compression ratio / quality level
of a Jpeg photo was set at to create the Jpeg?
I had a few rolls of film processed and put onto a CD. I believe the Photo
Lab process produces a higher quality Jpeg compared to the Kodak CD. The
Lens retraction motor problem with Olympus C700, the saga continues30 May 2005 22:28 GMT2
I just had another failure with the lens not retracting on my Olympus
C700, that make for 3 failures in 3 years.
Normally, when the camera is turned on the lens extends and retracts on
power down.  In both instances the lens would not retract and a
Childproof digital camera suggestions?30 May 2005 21:41 GMT3
Can anyone recommend a cheap and robust Digital Camera, suitable for a 8
year old to have as their own digital camera? I was thinking of something
with 1 - 2 MP and possible water proof/resistent (thinking this type of
camera would be most rugged).
Olympus C-70030 May 2005 20:27 GMT2
I have had this camera for over a year, and still can't figure  out how to
shoot in Macro Mode. We are trying to shoot some very close-ups of some
jewelry. Can anybody help me with this? I try to follow the directions in he
manual and on the CD, but I still don"t get it.
Konica Minolta Dimage Z3 batteries30 May 2005 19:48 GMT1
I have a Konica Minolta Dimage Z3 camera.  Their guide says I should
use 4 AA bateries.  It doesn't say anything about the voltage/current
of the cells.  The set that I use now is four 1.2v- 1850 mA cells.
When I went to buy a charger for these I saw different cells and

Olympus C7070 (Vs FZ5 / Powershot S2)30 May 2005 19:24 GMT13
I'm seriously interested of buying my next digital camera. I've always
been interested of Panasonic Lumix FZ5 / FZ20 and possibly Canon
Powershot S2. I went to a local retail and tried out FZ5 the other day.
To my surprise, it's too small and light for me. I had an impression it
canon ixus400 - does it work with USB 2.0?30 May 2005 18:14 GMT3
The owners manual doesn't encourage use of a USB 2.0 port to transfer data
between my camera and PC. But will it do any harm to the camera if I use a
USB2.0 port ?

Canon Pixma IP4000 ink ow query30 May 2005 16:28 GMT5
Howdy. I've enjoyed this printer, but after about 200-250 4X6 prints, it now
says that the "ink is running low" on the yellow (6) cartridge. Two
questions:
1) How long do I have before I the cartridge is totally out and printing
new digital camera suggestion30 May 2005 16:27 GMT2
I am looking for a new digital camera. Something that can produce
results comparable to an Olympus OM1. Have been looking at the Nikon

Post Processing Challenge30 May 2005 14:19 GMT58
I'm a newcomer to digital post-processing, and really need to
get the hang of curve adjustments, saturation, cropping etc.
A bit like the "Shoot In", perhaps there could be a "post
processing challenge" where one original is made available and
