Fuji Frontier and TIFF Problem15 May 2005 01:46 GMT17
I recently tried having some images printed at my local Costco store where
they use a Fuji Frontier system. I gave them my images as 300dpi 8x10 TIFFs.
When I got the prints each image was darkened across the top half, with a
band of overexposed image across the bottom. When I asked ...
What, no Olympus is dead posts?15 May 2005 00:29 GMT109
I'm shocked the trolls haven't started  "olympus is going bankrupt" threads
like most the olympus forums are being flooded with by non-olympus
users....
Of course this "news" means 4/3's is dead and people should all flock to
Recommendations for a quality, compact, point & shoot - WHY14 May 2005 23:48 GMT2
Why do people keep asking for recommendations here.
We only have knowledge of the Cameras we use, and in most cases are happy
about our choice.
If there was one "BEST" then everyone would be using it, and it would be the

Maxxum 7D $200 rebate in Canada14 May 2005 20:47 GMT14
Go to the K-M Canada site.
(K-M Canada are real cheap.  In the US they get a US$200 rebate on a US
priced camera.  Here we get a CAD$200 rebate on a CAD priced camera).
That's on the order of $50 bucks less reabte after paying more.

Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo in the Maestranza Theater in Seville (Spain). The
Ballet was "La Belle".
The Photo was taken with Canon Eos 10D.

I#m thinkong of replacing my coolpix 5000 by a dslr,

However, the coolpix had that nice "best shot" feature,
where you just pressed the button, the cam shot 7 pictures
Norton system works to recover compact flash files?14 May 2005 13:09 GMT8
Ok I probably should have thown away my 128 mb compact flash card the
first time I had a corruption problem.  Reformating it in windows as
fat32 fixed it, but now I have a bunch of vacation photos that I don't
want to lose.

I have a Canon G6 and will be going to a work related social event to take photos
where I will be meeting a friend who has a Nikon D70
I want to know whether its ok to take some shots on G6 and then take out the CF card
and put it into his D70 to use?
Compact or Ultra Compact? And then which one?14 May 2005 11:25 GMT1
I've been doing some reading on ultra compact models, but my first
question is: should I get one, or am I better off with a regular
compact model? I want something that I can take more or less everywhere
with me, but on the other hand, I'm prone to losing things that are too
Recommendations for a quality, compact, point & shoot ~$200?14 May 2005 10:11 GMT6
Looking to buy my sister and brother in law a digital. They are total
novices and will only use the camera if it fits in a pocket. I'd like
something that can help them to take good shots in daylight and
evening, LCD, short delay between shots, USB, and ability to add memory

My daughter has a Sony Cybershot that has all of a sudden started
turning out very dark pictures.  She doesn't live here in town, and I
have a Canon, I can't experiment around with her camera to figure out
what the problem is.
