Studio Flash With 20D and E-TTL Metering22 May 2005 01:06 GMT4
Hi.all.
If you are using studio lights that are triggered by slave units, does this
mean that the flashes will be triggered too soon with the 20D?
The reason I ask is because with the E-TTL metering, the camera sends out
Opinions - Dual layer double format dvd burners22 May 2005 00:55 GMT35
http://www.pricewatch.com/h/prc.aspx?i=340&a=86444 -- about 1/3 way down

these are off-brands so that's probably why prices seem very low. I imagine
it won't be long the major brands start coming down, too, ...

Kodak Photo-CD: They switched from .pcd to .jpg...21 May 2005 22:26 GMT56
Once upon a time, say, back in 1997, if you submitted a roll
of 35mm film to your local developer and checked the box
marked "Kodak Photo-CD" you got .pcd images of 5MB each.
I tried the same thing last week, and the images were JPEG,
Diopter and focusing issue21 May 2005 22:16 GMT3
I'd been having some sharpness or perhaps focusing problems with my
Oly E-300 and relatively short focal length lenses --- eg. OM 50 mm 1.8,
and Kiron and Tokina wide angles with K adapter, all of which require
pretty fine focusing wide open because of very narrow DOF.  Unlike my
Using Nikon Capture (for monochrome conversion)21 May 2005 21:23 GMT4
I found the trial version of Photoshop Elements 3.0 very good for
converting images to monochrome, especially where you could desaturate
bands of colour to specific grey intensities.  (I think it was in
colour level adjustment or something).

Focus wrong? Need help testing Kodak DX7630 AF21 May 2005 18:18 GMT7
I'm getting (possibly) wrong focusing w/my DX7630 autofocus. It seems
to be setting the lens about 2/3 of the way to what I would consider
the target.
Before I send it back to Kodak on warranty, I want to see if it's
Making poster from digital pic21 May 2005 14:25 GMT4
I recently took a look at Rasterbator, but I recall seeing, many
months ago in PC World magazine, an app that would upsample a pic and
then cut it into multiple smaller files, for creating a collage from
multiple prints. For instance, it would take an image and output a 5x5
Compact flash question21 May 2005 11:41 GMT9
I have a Nikon 5700 and purchased a Lexar 1gb Ulta flash card at Costco.
Guess what....It didn't fit.
It was too small and got lost in the flash slot.  Was it me, or did I
purchase the wrong type card?
