Screwed Jpegs from my Sony DSC-S8523 May 2005 11:28 GMT3
I've got bunch of jpegs that got screwed. Here is sequence of events:
1) I had some photos on my camera
2) I copied those photos via card reader and deleted them from card (instead
my usual procedure - use camera USB cable). MS explorer left Thumbs.db

Ashes and Snow23 May 2005 07:06 GMT1
Well, my camera my be working, but it has been raining on and off, so
I have not had good opportunities to use it. Meanwhile we went to an
astounding photography exhibit today: Ashes and Snow
(http://www.ashesandsnow.org/). The photos were great, but the whole
I want to ask you the most important question of your life. The question is: Are you saved? It is not a question of how good you are, nor if you are a church member, but are you saved? Are you sure you will go to Heaven when you die? The reason some people don't know for sure if they are going to Heaven when they die is because they just don't know. The good news is that you can know for sure you are going to Heaven. May 22, 2005 12:47:36 pm23 May 2005 05:22 GMT11

SONY VS OLYMPUS Reliability RATINGS "chronic palpitations aside"23 May 2005 03:31 GMT5
I was trying to deceide between the 8080 and the 828, the 828 seemed to
offer better qualilty construction and components. Here's a link to a
site about a small detail that the review sites curiously never talk
about.
Sensor Cleaning - What is good enough?23 May 2005 00:34 GMT30
I don't want to get too anal about this, but here goes anyway!
For those that have ventured into cleaning their own sensors on their DSLR's
- how close to perfection do you get before you decide it is good enough?
The cleaning methods that I use include first, simply blowing air on ...
Canon A70 time lapse22 May 2005 23:46 GMT3
My Canon A70 is pretty old hat by now but does most of what I want.
Something it doesn't appear to do is Time Lapse. I've read somewhere
that it is possible to do time lapse with the camera hooked up to a
computer. There's nothing about this in my manual so could someone

Thanks,

Strange dirt problem22 May 2005 22:05 GMT2
I have a D70, about 2 weeks old.
At very high f-stops, there are 5 or 6 dirt specks on the images, which
become blurred at lower f-stops. (specks are always in the same place)
Replacing the lens made no difference, but there is no obvious dirt on
Adapter Plate for Mounting Nikon 8800 Centered on Tripod22 May 2005 21:50 GMT4
It would seem to me that it should be fairly easy to create a plate
that can be placed atop a standard panning tripod to allow one to
center the lens node on the axis of the tripod - important for
eliminating paralax when taking panoramic shots. (Yes, I know that when
Ezprints - upsampling??22 May 2005 20:36 GMT2
I am very confused about something. On the ezprints site, they claim you can
make outstanding 16x20 prints with 4 MP. That corresponds to a little over
100 PPI (pixels per inch). How can anyone claim that the 100PPI ballpark
gives outstanding prints? Furthermore, my understanding ...
Olympus E10 / White Balance22 May 2005 20:36 GMT2
It takes some time for me to discover new features of a camera...
My problem is the "quick white reference white balance button". If I
use it, then the monitor is turned on and displays - hopefully - "good"
and the display says "WB".
