I know digital zoom is not real zoom, it just cropps the image, but
why are the image files the same size as unzoomed images, because
when I crop images on an editor, the size of the file usually becomes
dramatically smaller?

Hi, I recently got a Sony mavica FD-91 - I love it becouse it has a
14X zoom.
Does anyone out thier have any experiences with this camera, I know it
is a older one - but I sure there are some of them out thier still.

I'm having a real problem getting the great-resolution pictures I once
took with my C-700UZ.  I've checked the camera settings, copier
settings, and Photoshop Elements settings to be sure all are at 'best'.

Is it always true that a larger lens will have a lower f number ?
If so, can someone explain to we why fujifilm 2800zoom has
a bigger lens, about 2.5cm, than the olympus c170, which is
just 1.3cm, and yet both cameras are the same f number, i.e.

When I open a JPG file (50-200KB) in IrfanView and then 'browse'
through the rest of the folder's images using the arrow tools (or
keys), each image opens rapidly. But if instead I d-click individual
JPGs from a My Computer folder, *sometimes* the first one opens

Just somthing to look for when i get a new Camera. I asume if you
could do this the Video would be pretty good i asume ??

So I now have a couple of thousand digital pictures, in folders, but
with the generic file names (img_1002, ect).
When I pull up the properties-summary-advanced in XP, it has fields for
Tile, Subject, Keywords and Comments. How do I add this data?

I am sorry to ask more dumb questions but I just had a look on the sites
listed in this thread and cannot see a difference in optical or digital
zoom. For example, I clicked on Camera Reviews (Steve's Digicams site) and
chose 6-8 MPs. It has "Zoom" but not whether its digital or ...

I was in walmart today and saw a Canon Rebel KT and I looked at it 3
times to verify it was not XT.  What is the "KT" ?  Their price was
under $200 if I recall (most of the signage tho was in Spanish) so I
don't know if the lense came with the body but the model on display
