I'm considering a Canon Digital Rebel body with the Canon 24-70 mm f2.8
lense.  My theory is to put my money into the lens rather than the body.
BTW, I'm moving from a Minolta SLR film camera and a pocket digital camera.
Any comments from the more experienced users?

A friend has a new 350 XT, after burning jpeg's downloaded to PC from
the camera, the images are corrupted, the first band is correct color
and information, then there are bands (horizontal) that have a color
shift and the information of the image is shifted to the right, etc.

I have a hewlet packard printer that apparently does not support negative
scanning. I then found lying around at work a mirror setup that uses the
light from the flatbed scanner to light up the negative from behind. The
