8x dvd's and Staples02 Apr 2005 00:12 GMT3
First, I want to put a good word in for Staples.  I purchased a 50
pack spindle of dvd+r 1-8x for about 19 bucks a few weeks ago.  When I
tried to use them, they made a bunch of coasters.
I took what was left to Staples and they let me pick another companies

Nikon Picture Project Software - slow01 Apr 2005 22:36 GMT7
I'm wondering if it's just me - or if this is a more general problem
with this software.
Viewing NEF images using Picture Project is painfully slow on my system.
Very slow, unresponsive, and "blocky" redrawing if images are zoomed etc.
Zoom vs lots of pixels01 Apr 2005 22:09 GMT19
I am looking at moderately priced cameras - 3 to 5MP mostly, which
typically have 3-4X lens. I am interested in occasional distance shots,
and wonder what makes more sense - a 3MP with a 4X lens, or a 4/5MP with
a 3X lens, with which I can "zoom" by cropping after I have taken ...

MP3 Jukebox to use as a Digital Photo Storage Device?01 Apr 2005 22:04 GMT5
I am looking into buying an MP3 Jukebox and I found out that many of
them can be used for storing files other than MP3's, such as digital
photos. I have an extensive collection of MP3's, so storage size is
important, and sound quality is going to be my primary objective. The
Compact Flash corrupt- how to format?01 Apr 2005 20:55 GMT22
I've had a problem with my USB compact flash reader connected to my PC
(Flash-Link by New Media Technology, I think no longer in business).  It
appears to have corrupted two of my Compact Flash cards.  First one is
just an old 64mb.  Computer can read and write to it, but cameras ...

Image re-sizing01 Apr 2005 17:59 GMT2
Sorry for what might be an obvious question to most but I would
appreciate a little advice on re-sizing an image.
I currently have an image which is appreox 3.4 mb which I have been
asked to send via e-mail at 100k.

Nikon D70 prices, what's up?01 Apr 2005 14:59 GMT3
I see Adorama hasn't yet removed the $100 rebate form from its site
(rebate expired yesterday March 31), but they now sell the camera for
$829.95 (you have to add it to your cart to see that price).  Some
Ebay dealers are selling it for as low as $689 saying they've cashed
OT:  Don't forget, it's that time agaon...01 Apr 2005 14:45 GMT4
Don't forget to spring forward and set far too many clocks.
(and yes, I know, countries turn the clocks on different weeks)
(where I am, we do it now...)
