350d + Microdrive06 Apr 2005 23:06 GMT4
Can anyone say for sure if the EOS 350d can use a microdrive over 2GB.
(Seagate ST1 5GB drive for example).
The official specs are a little unclear: "CF card (Type I or II)
*Compatible with Microdrive and 2GB and larger CF cards".
Panasonic DMZ-FZ20, sleeper?06 Apr 2005 21:21 GMT93
What do all of you think of the Panasonic DMZ-FZ20, is it a sleeper?
Ok, I know, it's not a "PRO" camera, or a "DSLR", and it's only 5MP, but
sometimes 5MP is plenty!  Its the other features it has, above, and beyond
that of many out there, that caught my attention!
Display06 Apr 2005 20:19 GMT3
Can anyone please help. I have just bought a Mexon AX480 Digital SLR Camera.
Sometimes on the LCD panel I when composing a picture I see a green coloured
raised hand ( Looking as thought it is telling me to stop something) I
cannot find any reference to this in the manual and it ...
Kodak battery charging06 Apr 2005 20:18 GMT6
Is it ok to top up the Kodak KLIC 500 1 battery at any time or should it be
fully run down first before re-charging?

online photo hosting - worth it?06 Apr 2005 19:27 GMT18
I mean to ask whether these are worth it in
two ways, really. Worth putting my photos on,
or worth going to for browsing.
I went to Flickr for instance and I found a lot

Canon 350 and Photoshop06 Apr 2005 19:08 GMT5
A friend had just bought a 350D . I have a 300D and we are keen to
compare image quality. However, it seems that the RAW CR2 format used by
the 350 does not work in Photoshop.
I have downloaded the latest 2.4 Camera Raw and it still doesn't work!!!
How to tell if CF card is faulty?06 Apr 2005 17:55 GMT27
[crossposted to  comp.os.linux.misc as well as *.photo.* groups because I
know there'll be people there clued up about comp systems, and uk.d-i-y for
folks clued up about life the universe and everything :-)]
I have a 128M CF card which has recently started playing up in my digicam
download help!06 Apr 2005 16:39 GMT3
I've just downloaded my last lot of photos from my pentax optio sv and
the battery was on its last legs. Before it finished downloading it
died. A message came up saying that because I hadn't disconnected the
device correctly I may have lost the images, but I recharged the camera
Colin Ward's poetry contest was a fixed joke06 Apr 2005 16:20 GMT8
Colin continually knocked nominees off the list until there was no one
left but those he and his clique of shitty poets agreed to. Some of
the remaining poets were definitely talented and noteworthy but what
was the point of a contest if they keep blowing away nominees and

Hey Vito, Richard Simmons called. He wants his haircut back.
canon powershot g606 Apr 2005 15:55 GMT5
I've read some reviews but no sure how true they are.  Not wanting to
start a war here but how do you like the g6 and is it at least average
or better compared to other 7+ megapixel cameras nowadays?  I'll be
using it mostly for home use, parties and graduations.  Is it okay for

Canon i950 vs. ip6000D06 Apr 2005 14:45 GMT27
It looks like my old Canon i950 ain't going to work any more - at least, not
without a new print head and the price of that seems perilously close to the
price of a new printer.
I thought the modern equivalent was the i965 but it looks like even that is
