Semi Pro Lab Printer Recommendations?07 Apr 2005 20:20 GMT8
Can't help but want it all in one package.
I've been looking at the Kodak 9810 and 8500 printers, but wondered if
there were any others in that class that would print both borderless
4x6 AND 8x10?
Casio - anyone use underwater?07 Apr 2005 18:04 GMT3
I have a Casio Exilim Z-40 (EX-Z40).  I've had it for a year and love
it.  I'm heading to the Caribbean soon and debating whether or not to
purchase Casio's underwater housing for this model.  At $180, it's not
cheap!  It would be nice to take better quality pictures than the cheap

Hi, everybody!
I am using a D70 and hoped to get some kind of live-review of the

I hope someone here can help me with this (OT) problem.  When I import
TIFF files into Word, Word seems to assume that they are at 72dpi.
But they are not - they are at 300dpi (so that they'll look good when
I print them).  This means that every time I import an image, I have

Getting used to my Canon 300D07 Apr 2005 08:40 GMT4
Well,
I decided I had to see what it was all about.  I came from a decent P&S
camera and have seen images with both posted on the web.  It is very
interesting to see some very good photos by both types of camera: DSLR
Pope John Paul II was the best because he accepted abortion in the Third World07 Apr 2005 05:11 GMT12
His stance on free abortions will pay dividends in the fight on AIDS
in the coming decades.
Would it have been legal for Terry Schiavo's husband to have sex with her in that state?07 Apr 2005 03:15 GMT4
If she's legally alive and he's legally her husband, couldn't he just
climb on top of her in the hospital and pump away whenever he wants?
Marriage implies sexual consent, unless there is explicit refusal,
does it not?
images to print - some confusions07 Apr 2005 01:47 GMT11
I normally scan photos and create various digital arts/designs "just
for the web". So I am not too familiar with printing my works as to
how it appears on paper. Now I need to print some of my works. I have
to send my works to some printing press. I need to print with the

I recently noticed that Sams Club was carrying "Ilford Galerie Professional
Inkjet Photo Range Smooth Gloss Paper" [sic] in 100 sheet boxes, and through
their web site you could also order "Ilford Galerie Professional Inkjet Photo
Range Smooth Pearl Paper" [sic], so I bought two ...

Santa or the Easter Bunny. In the past we have used Polariod film, but
now would like to move into the 21st century and do the photos

Chuck's blog got pulled for spamming back-links to NAMBLA07 Apr 2005 00:38 GMT26
This is almost as bad as the release of the photo of Michael Jackson's
glove with a single brown finger on it.
Why does the Espon 2200 use colored inks to produce muddy "B/W" prints?07 Apr 2005 00:11 GMT72
For my father's 70th birthday I prepared an exhibit of photos from his
life.  This project involved scanning hundreds of old photos from
albums, cleaning them up and reprinting them as 8x10 prints.  For the
b/w photos I scanned them as 8 bit grayscale images, then when I
