shrinking picture size?08 Apr 2005 07:49 GMT8
I've been trying to figure out how to shrink a picture to post on a
forum, but can't seem to figure out how. When I try to do it in WIndows
picture and fax viewer, all that happens is that the image is severely
cropped rather than getting the full picture resized/reduced.  It has

time she grabbed it and it may have been in her mouth a half second  but now
the lens is not working right, everything is very blurred, ...

I've got a Mac running OS 10.2.6. I've tried everything to get 740 to
download but it doesn't work except every blue moon by chance. I even
got an AC power supply on the advice of Olympus help desk who said it
takes a lot of juice from the camera to get the download working, but

Cheapest Nikon SB800 flash?08 Apr 2005 01:30 GMT4
Has anyone seen a better price than B&H for the Nikon SB800 flash, from a
company that ships internationally? B&H has it for US$310 for an imported model.
Locally they cost a little over US$600.
Thanks for any pointers.

Michael Tapes And Phase One -- Parting Of Ways ???08 Apr 2005 00:36 GMT9
It looks like Michael Tapes and Phase One have parted ways.  It is not clear
at this time whether Tapes was asked to resign or whether he left of his own
volition, but if the signs are being read correctly, this is a serious blow
to Phase One, their Capture One software and to their ...
Kodak DC120 full problem07 Apr 2005 23:41 GMT4
I am working with a Kodak DC120.  It isn't mine, I am doing some
things for the owner of the camera who knows nothing about it.
I have a Dazzle flash card reader.  This is what was working.  I would
fill the flash card, copy the pictures to the computer and clear the

Fuji F700 Repair07 Apr 2005 21:51 GMT1
After 1.5 years my F700 lens assembly failed.  $120 and over a month
later it was returned with a new lens. Slow service, but not a bad
price. I want this camera for very high contrast scenes.

After going on the same sets of NiMH batteries for a few years, I just
went out and got some new panasonic ones, rated at 2300 mAh (impulse
purchase - I got home and saw that there are 2500 mAh ones, and I'm sure
others will tell me of even more powerful ones).
350d serial number - what serial number?!?07 Apr 2005 20:58 GMT6
I got my new 350d last week and I am very happy with it. Everything is
great, except exposure in sunlight (even with white balance set at
'sun'). However, I have just tried to register with canon in order to
receive my free 256mb CF card, only to find that the serial number on
